Can someone please tell me how to run Kontakt in 64-bit mode within Logic 9 Express?

    Kontakt 4 is a native 64-bit plug-in.

I thought so too. However, when I boot up my computer in 64-bit mode, open Logic 9 Express in 64-bit mode, the only option I get from ANY of my software instruments are 32 bit. As a result, Kontakt is available only through the 32 Bit Audio Bridge that Logic uses, which crashes constantly. Maybe there is something I am missing, but I can't seem to figure it out. It just seems to me that if Kontakt AND Logic were both 64-bit, there would be no need for the Audio Bridge. When I choose Kontakt as the plugin, the drop down menu reads as:

    Native Instruments (32 Bit)>Kontakt 4 (32 Bit)

I'm fairly new to all this, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you need to tell Logic (64-bit mode) to scan the 64-bit VSTi folder so that it finds the 64-bit VST(i)s?

Open Logic in 32 bit mode. rescan the AU manager then re-open in 64 bit.

Thanks guys! I rescanned in AU manager in 32 bit mode and reopened in 64 bit mode. That did the trick! Thanks a lot for the help, everyone!

.. and I though that that was just an IKMM thing. Apparently not.
