I prefer to run with a Limited user rights in Windows XP. However, Kontakt needs to access the Programs Folder to create temporary files. When using Kore as a plug-in within Cubase SX, selecting another location for the temporary files will crash SX.

Therefore, I would like to uninstall and re-install Kontakt on another drive that would allow me to have access to the install folder as a Limited user.

Will the uninstall/re-install process hurt my Komplete III installation? Or is there a registry or other tweak that I can make to Kontakt to allow its use as a Limited user?

    Thanks, CS.

    I found a work-around.

You can ignore this request for help if I have not done something completely not intelligent.

In Kontakt, I saved in a text file the path to the original default program location and change the location to a drive location accessible for both Admin and Limited users. Both Kore and Kontakt now work in the manner expected and I can run the PC as a limited user. Thanks, CS.
