    Here are my specs...

    Brand New!
    MacBook Pro 16" - 2.3 GHz Core i9
    16 gig ram
    1TB Hd
    Catalina 10.15.17

    External Drive
Samsung. SSD T7 1 TB (Brand New)
    Formatted ExFat

I just installed Komplete 12 ultimate and all the instruments take forever to load from my external SSD. 80's drummer for example takes well over 5 minutes to load.
I did a speed check ( with Black Magic) on my SSD and it uploads at 800 MB per second +/- and downloads at 900 MB +/-

I did a batch resave on all of the instruments and it makes zero difference. On larger templates Komplete 12 Ultimate is basically unusable because of the wait times.

What can I do to resolve this issue?

    Thanks,
    Wade

Don't use ExFAT, easy. Use macOS Journaled.

Ok. I was hoping to avoid this as ExFat is supposed to be completely compatible with Mac and PC.
Do you know if I can just reformat the SSD and then reload everything through Native Access or will I have to alert NI and tell them about the problem so they don't think this is ANOTHER new Komplete 12 Ultimate install?

As far as I know there are some programs out there to (only!?) read that file system under windows. Or you can use a linux live stick to do that.

You can simply move the libraries to another drive, reformat to Mac Journaled, then move things back.

You could also format to NTFS, but then you need Paragon NTFS for Mac software to have it fully working on Mac (and from what I hear it's working great with that software).
