Kontakt / Kontakt 5

    Hi,

    I'm wondering why both these are installed on my PC and why only the Kontakt instrument is showing all my packs / addons etc and the Kontakt 5 player isn't?

    This is probably something really basic, I know.

    I own Komplete 10.

    Some Instruments need kontakt 6 or the full version of kontakt (5 or 6), so maybe that's why not all show up in kontakt 5 player. But you own komplete 10 so you have the full kontakt 5 version, normally there is no need for kontakt 5 player. Only if you have many projects with player inserted instead of the full version, otherwise you can uninstall 5 player.

    That would make sense however, it’s not Kontact 5 player it’s Kontakt 5. It’s not massively important as I can just use the setup as is, it’s more an annoyance than anything else.
