Does anyone know why some kontakt libraries import into Maschine 2 with their own product name listed in instruments on the hardware and others are lumped into kontakt?

As an example take Wave Alchemy Transistor Revolution and Wave Alchemy Pro II Synthesizer.
Transistor Revolution imports and has it's own blank icon listed under the instruments page on the hardware so I can select it as a product on that page.
Pro II Synth imports but is put inside the Kontakt icon on the instruments page. I can still tag the files, allowing me to narrow down to just that library on the 2nd screen but it is far nicer to have it listed as it's own product as Transistor Revolution is.

Does anyone know what determines this different way of importing?

Kontakt player 5 and powered by Kontakt 5 will get the product name. These are libraries that you must authorize and work in the free player without going into demo mode. The non player libraries that require the full Kontakt do not get their own product.

Make sure all libraries you want to import are in Kontakt 5 format. If not open Kontakt 5 and do a batch resave on the library folder.

OK, so am I correct in thinking that Transistor Revolution is a library that would run in the Kontakt player or powered by Kontakt but The Pro II Synthesizer requires a full version of Kontakt, therefore lumping it into the Kontakt section on the Maschine?

Not sure but more than likely. Basically if you can add the library to the Kontakt library browser with the add library option then it is a player library that will have it's own product.

If you need to separate the libraries it is better to import the folders via the file browser. If you do this it gives you the option to add tags so you can sort and find what you need in the browser.
