Anyone in this situtation? With Logic 5.5 and Jaguar 10.2.8 all was fine. I upgraded to Panther 10.3.4, and Logic 6.4.2 and get this message: 'Error -1 returned by the core driver'. In Logic 5.5 the error is less cryptic - 'Not enough memory to open plugin'. I have 1.5 gigs of ram on a dual G4. Even with Logic open I have 1.2 gigs left. Emagic has no clue, I'm guessing since even 5.5 is bad now too it is a problem of Panther? I seem to be the only one in the world right now with this prob. For the record, I re-installed Kontakt, 1.5.0 opens in Logic, but if you close and try to re-open you get the above error message and all the multis I have made are un-openable since I made them in 1.5.2. 1.5.2 & 1.5.3 don't open at all. The standalone version opens fine. Any ideas?

    Hi

Did you re-install Logic and Kontakt after the upgrade to 10.3.4 ?

Basically when you go from 10.2 to 10.3 all the hardware drivers, plug-ins
    are removed.

What audio card are you using ?
Send me a screen copy of the Audio hardware settings of Logic

Did you try to trash Logic preferences !

You can also trash the Kontakt pref !
You must use 1.5.3 this version solve 95 % of the problems

    Best regards

    Hi Cyril,

Yes, the Logic and Kontakt installs are fresh installs after the
    upgrade to Panther.

I am using a MOTU 896 Firewire interface

I"m not sure how to trash Logic and Kontakt prefs.

Below is the screen shot of my audio prefs.

I did upgrade to 1.5.3 but I get the same error message

    Thanks for your reply...

    Fresh install too !

    You search for .plist files

    I did not get it.

You have to send them to me directly at blanc.cyril@wanadoo.fr

Can you check that there is a kontakt.component file in
    Library/audio/plug-ins/component

    Best

    Hi Cyril,

I did do a fresh install of the MOTU driver. In fact, when I went to
Panther I backed up my files, reformatted the hard drive and did a
fresh install of Panther instead of an upgrade in Jaguar. Everything is
    fresh.
I"m guessing you remove the .plist files and Logic and Kontakt will
make new ones when they restart?
And yes, the kontakt.component is in the right place.

    Thanks.
