    Hey all,

After my total disaster outing with upgrading Kontakt to version 5.6 l managed to restore back to earlier in the day so everything was normal and Kontakt was back at Version 5.3.

However when l started cubase, Kontakt and all other NI Software was no where to be found, l tried re directing the paths and all plugins except Kontakt came back.
It did show up in a "missing plugins" folder on the right hand side, however when l restarted cubase tonight this had gone!

I fired up the standalone version of Kontakt, this came straight up, all sample libraries working fine.

But l cannot for the life of me get kontakt to show up in cubase.

Im running Cubase 8.5, Win 7 pro, i7 Pc

    Any advice would be great!!!

I'm not a Cubase user, but the first and obvious thing to check would be your VSTplugins folder. Check Cubase's prefs/manual for where it expects to find the VST plug-ins. Then navigate to that location and see if Kontakt is there.

So the Kontakt 5 plug-in is there?

Can you force Cubase to rescan for plug-ins?

Yes, rescan'd all paths that control the plugins, no luck!

Did you run Kontakt standalone after you updated. I updated yesterday in Win 10 ,no issues at all with Cubase 8.5

I had the same problem with the same equipment. I managed to solve this issue just putting the K5 .dll into C:\program files\native instruments\vst plugins 64 and, also into C:\program files\vst plugins. Now Cubase goes somewhere and finds them. They are listed in the rack and load.
    I hope it helps.

If the plugin is going to the wrong folder you are better off downloading the install or running it from the downloads folder. When installing specify the correct plugin path. Upgrades will then run smoothly in future.
