    Hi everyone,

purchased "The Elements" from Sample Logic recently, like the sounds but Kontakt Player 2 makes it almost impossible for me to enjoy. Approximately every tenth patch I load will result in freezes or crashes - both in standalone and VST-mode (using Cubase SE btw.) As long as I does'nt touch the browser-buttons everthing is fine. Nothing bad happens during recording, editing or playback.

Since "The Elements" is third party the kind people of NI denied any support. Since they are responsible for the audio-engine I doubt that Sample Logic, which NI told me to refer to, is able to help me out in that matter.

I'm also using miscellaneous EWQL-stuff power by NI-Kompakt on the same computer and never experienced any trouble with that. My DAW: Quad Core with 4 Gigs of RAM, OS: Windows Vista 32 Bit and Tascam FW 1884.

I have already checked the board, the knowledge base and made some tweaks here and there like disabling multiprocessor-support or playing around with different DFD-settings - without much luck.

Not only therefore I would highly appreciate any suggestions from you guys.

Thanks in advance and best regards

    Hi David,

I couldn't find this update neither here nor in the NI-Service Center:-(

What could be interesting is that most (if not all) crahses happens when using the browser-function in KP 2. Navigating through sounds in the uncomfortbal Kompakt-style without browsing seems to be safe. But by this way it will keep me forever exploring the 1700+ sounds of "The Elements".

By the way: the demo-version of Kontakt 3 causes the same troubles on my machine:-(
