I just bought 4 of Garritan's VI's; these are my first of the Garritan line. Unfortunately, I'm pretty well immersed in OS X Leopard, to the point of not being able to go back to Tiger without serious difficulties. But the sale prices were too good to pass up, so I bought them anyway, figuring that NI will sooner or later support Leopard 100%.

My question is: will I be able to install the AU player and run these VI's in Leopard? I'm not asking if it will be trouble-free, but whether one might get some results with persistence and frequent saves.

I use Akoustik Piano, and it runs in Leopard as an AU plugin without a hitch. Flawless. Doesn't it use the same player? If the answer is "absolutely not," then I can wait; I bought the VI's for the price during GG's first Christmas sale. (saved $360 US) I'd just like to hear from anyone who is experiencing success with Leopard right now, or who is having only minimal problems with the Kontakt2 Player.

Thanks and best wishes for peace in these troubled holidays,

Kontakt Player 2 is compatible with Leopard, however, the *installer* for the KP2 instrument may or may not be. NI is working with the third-party companies to provide fixes right now. So you should ask Garritan specifically about whether his products are ready or not. (If not, they will be very soon.)

Akoustik Piano should work, as far as I know. I think NI's universal Leopard fix should make it work, if it doesn't work already.
