I have installed the Kontakt 5 Player from the NI site, and am using Windows 10 with Reaper. But Reaper does not see my Session Guitar SVT in reaper. Works fine on the player. Do I need the Kontakt5.dll somewhere or can Reaper just use the Kontakt5.exe for the instruments to show up and be useable in a Reaper track?

You basically insert the Kontakt plugin in a Reaper Track first. And then load Session Guitar inside the Kontakt plugin.

In order for Reaper to be able to find the plugins, make sure that the plugin folder (where the Kontakt 5. dll VST plugin files were installed to) is part of Reaper's VST Plugin Path under Preferences > Plug-Ins > VST. If that's not the case, add the plugin folder to the path and do a [Clear cache/rescan] afterwards.

Also, if you're using Reaper 64-bit, it's enough to just add the VST 64-bit plugin location to the VST path: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209570089

My problem is that there is no Kontakt5.dll on my computer, and no Kontakt plugin appears in my list of VST's in Reaper.
