Kontakt sequencer won't stop after MIDI region ends

Well, I raised the issue once again with my team.

 

Any news? Modular Icons has been annoying me this afternoon. At least this thread has stopped me driving myself nuts trying to figure out what I was doing wrong...

 

Yes would appreciate too a fix, I work around with muting, but better would be a solution

 

I still don't have a clear date for when the updates would be released, but it's all somewhere in the pipeline...

 

Here is a workaround of this issue - at least for cubase users:

1. deselect "Reset on Stop" at the preferences
2. restart your project
   
3. you shouldn't reposition the playback line while playing, because the issue will appear again

Just tested with Hybrid Keys and Cubase 10 so far.

 

Hey guys, just wanted to pitch in that I "fixed" this (last key pressed was stuck pressed in for Analog Dreams 2) in FL studio by doing the following:

1. Go into the VST wrapper settings (press the cog wheel in top left, then the menu where you see the little plug with the cog wheel)
2. turn on "Make bridged"

This will reload your plugin and for some reason this stops the issue for me. Additionally, I also disabled a sequence in the sound preset, but that was to eliminate a slight overlap over the next bar and should not be necessary for you.

 

This bug is so annoying with Modular Icons and a least one other play series. Please fix as this is a base function. I am getting this in Pro Tools

 

Its been fixed, updates are in the pipeline...

 

Definitely not fixed on my version and I have run Native Access. Best workaround seems to be - write automation in your DAW to turn on Modular Icons Sequencer just before the first note and turn it off just after the last note. Hopefully the automation follows your clip if it is copied. Automation follows clip in Pro Tools

 

When I said "in the pipeline", I meant "updates are ready but are in process of being released". They're coming, but I don't known the final date of release.

 

The updates for older Play Series products that are affected by this sequencer bug are finally out!

The only one still waiting in tow is Cloud Supply, that update ended up being a bit more problematic...

You may need to reload the patch you've used in your project.

However I cannot confirm this issue any longer after the library updates (you don't have to update Kontakt, you have to update the libraries!). Except Cloud Supply update is still pending.

 

I just discovered that with the Mallet Flux instrument in Kontakt, the issue persists using the Mallet Flux.nki instrument, but not the Mallet Flux Single.nki instrument. So, the ensemble version of the instrument continues to playback even after stopping MIDI in the DAW, while the Single version of the instrument does not have this problem. I contacted NI support, and they said to install the updates. I've done that, and yet this issue is not resolved. Any further thoughts? I would point out also that the problem happens in Noire as well, while using the Particles engine, but not without. Interesting.

Adding a footnote here: After typing this up I just realized that this seems to occur when MIDI information is including the expression pedal being used, as in an instance in which the sustain on a piano is being held down in the MIDI information. If I create a MIDI clip where there is no pedal used, the problem doesn't happen. Note that this is while using NOIRE.

 

The libraries you mention are not those which I am involved in. This thread is specifically about sequencer note hanging issue only for Play Series instruments.

 

My apologies, I misread the thread. Unfortunately I am getting no help at all from NI support. Do you have any advice?
