Kontakt & Sonar: not playing nicely

Strange one here. I have the latest Kontakt and the latest Sonar X1 32 & 64 on Win 7 Pro.

If I attempt to load an instrument into an instance of Sonar-hosted Kontakt directly after booting up, the instrument will hang. Then it will display "Please re-save the currently loaded patch to speed up loading times". It does eventually load after a minute or so - but wont accept MIDI. Saving as per instruction only removes the message.

However, if I then crash out of all this and repeat the process, all's good until I re-boot the computer.

Or if I place an instance of Kontakt in my boot-up template and boot directly into this, all's good.

Or id I use and earlier version of Sonar all's good.

So. Loading Sonar then Kontakt repeatedly fails to work the first time.
Any thoughts on what's going on?

P.S. been using Kontakt since 1.X and never had an issue.

 

Hi all. Please ignore above. I eventually tracked the issue down to a corruption in the Sonar X1 boot-up template. Rebuilding the Normal.cwt cured this issue and several others ills.
