Kontakt stand alone won't launch, creates pal.db file under .exe

    When I launch Kontakt from the shortcut or the .exe from the programs folder, admin or not, it won't launch and a generic box with no error text pops up with a red x. When I click ok to close the box nothing happens. It also creates a pal.db wherever I try to run the .exe. I am on windows 10. error.PNG

    I have restarted my computer. Uninstalled and reinstalled kontakt and native access. Next I tried all the steps multiple times in support - deleting registry keys, local app data, and even downloading the ni Registry deleter and making sure all NI product keys are deleted and that windows is fully updated. But when I reinstall Kontakt and try to launch I still get that generic error and the pal.db. I'm not sure what to do next. This is running on a new computer and windows install.
