    Hello guys,

Can someone save the day and help me get this SIMPLE (or so I thought) task working :

Why does certain plugin acts like girls on Prom night and reject my sustain pedal ffs !!!!!?

For instance in Kontakt, I have the Giant vst loaded up on a track (it's grand piano plugin), my sustain pedal works fine, no tweaking needed.

Now I disable the Giant and add on the same track another Vst (Vintage keys, Scarbee Mark 1, Kontakt factory selection E-Piano), Sustain pedal won't work.

Now... I know those or mainly electronic keys but why woulnd't the pedal work?

Tried in ableton Live, Reaper same behavior. Looked up online on multiple forums, couple users also reported that, with no follow up/solution other than to check instrument options - Controller - CC64..., I tried all 3 combination, no luck :(, I know I recieve the midi data as I see the icon blinking.

I also believe it should be sending to the right place as I the Giant is very sensitive and kind and recieve my pedal well like the princess she is.

So anyone know where do I need to fiddle in the "wrench" section of these rather RUDE plugins, I rarely go there tbh but it seems I need an adventure to get this working ^.^

    Thanks

Not sure if I can. I just loaded those patches up and played on my MIDI controller (Kurzweil PC3K8, but also checked with my small Korg nanoKey Studio that's on my desk, it does have a Sustain button :p) and it worked across all the patches you mentioned...

Edit : I rechecked in Ableton Live, my sustain pedal is working after all with scarbee mark 1. Though in Reaper it's not, I've tried loading it up on a different track, no luck :(

Re-Edit : my princess pedal (or rather the plugin itself Scarbee Mark 1) decided to work and give me sustainned note when launched within Maschine Vst in Reaper.
rather WIERD behavior  but at least I have sustain now.

I'd be curious to understand what is happening here :
Same plugin launched under Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt don't give me sustain
When launched within maschine : I have sustainned

Just tried in Reaper (it's my main DAW), and sustain pedal just works as it's supposed to...

I mean it works here without needing to use Maschine plugin.

Use the MIDI Monitor script if you're in any doubt about the sustain pedal messages arriving into Kontakt. (I've only skimmed this thread but) they could be arriving at a different MIDI channel?
