    Hello Kompaktérs!

Im looking for a simpler sampler. One I can make drum programs with easily, hands on control over individual filters and effects on each sample in a "drum" program. I work with very percussive modulated music. Kontakt seems to take to long time for me to work with, and the interface is realy tiny and cluttering. Im on a laptop with a 15" monitor!

Put simply, I need to modulate each sample individualy in a drum program.

    Is Kompakt the answar?

    Regards,
    Kim

Actually, Battery may be the answer. Have you looked at that? Battery is more adept at drum programming.

Kompakt and Kontakt are pretty similar. The GUI is different of course, but think of Kompakt as similar to Kontakt except you can't click on the Mapping Editor or the Loop Editor. And you have limited effects and modulations available to you. That's Kompakt -- a simpler sampler.

Battery though is designed in "cells" where you drop drum sounds into cells and play with them individually. That might be closer to what you're describing.
