Kontakt Update 1.5 online

Hello,

We just uploaded the KONTAKT 1.5.2 update to our website. Please make sure that you also download and install the newest DFD extension.

The OS9 version of 1.5.2 is not yet ready. We decided to release the OSX and WinXP version as they are ready. The OS9 version is still giving us headaches. Nevertheless we are confident, that we will have fixed the remaining bugs soon.

Install problems

Just tried installing the 1.5.2 update and I just get the message "Could Not Find Valid Kontakt Installation." Kontakt 1.5.1 is most definitely installed in my app folder -- I booted it up to make sure. It is also successfully authorized and registered (verified by booting the registration tool, which then prompts the message "Kontakt is successfully authorized.") Also tried to install 1.5.2 on my other G5 -- same problem.

G5 Dual 2 GHz, OSX 10.3.2.

 

aaaargh, no forward - backward buttons for patch loading ??

 

How do we use poly mute groups vs mono mute groups?

I'm having the same problem as 63strat when I try to install I get the following message "Could Not Find Valid Kontakt Installation."

installed fine here. maybe try repairing permissions first. if that doesn't work, uninstall/reinstall, update.

 

Check to make sure the Installation Base Path in Kontakt's Options menu is correct.

Thanks so much -- that was it! The path was already correct, but just re-establishing it somehow did the trick.

 

Excellent stuff Julian! I'm glad to see lots of great features and requested features included! Especially poly voice mutes!

Thanks, Julian. The multiple dimension contriller is wonderful. It makes Kontakt a very powerful sampler now. I've been waiting for this for a long time. The bad part is now I have to go back and recreate my previous patch to take advantage of this new feature. But the possibility!!

The DFD problem seems to be solved now with this update.

Loading time !

Is it just me or the loading times are now 10 to 20 times longer?
Is there something that we need to know concerning the DFD settings in this new update?

its loading slow because of the locked memory settings.

After update Kontakt to 1.5.2 Cubase SL 2 now quits during start-up

Im new to this forum and forums in general. Im not sure if this is where I should be asking for help or on Steinbergs forum or both. But my problem I think is related to the Kontakt 1.5.2 upgrade. The problem is after I upgraded Kontakt from 1.5 to 1.5.2 Cubase quits while starting up and during initializing and attempting to initialize Kontakt Cubase quits. Error message "cubase has unexpectedly quit". Cubase worked fine with Kontakt 1.5 before upgrading. Kontakt 1.5.2 itself works fine just not Cubase now.
Also Im using a Mac G5 dual 2 ghz, 512 ram, OS 10.3.2. Any suggestions? Thanks!
