Kontrol D2 - Is it possible to hook up more than 2 of these?

I recently purchased 2 Kontrol D2s and I like them so much that I bought a third. When I hook up the third Kontrol D2 it says "Start Traktor Software or press SHIFT + BACK for MIDI". I have swapped the usb cables around and I have determined that the Kontrol D2 works okay, only when all three are plugged in the third one does not work?

Is it possible to use more than 2 of these? any suggestions?

perhaps, you can only use two of these midi controllers, and you would have to toggle between the two decks? Controller 1 would do decks A & C, and controller 2 would do B & D?

 

NI customer support says you can not use more than 2 D2s.

Well you did ask the question regarding D2 on the Stems forum. Maybe you would of been better placed to ask on the D2 forum. What do you think?
