Kontrol X1 Cases Have Been Shipped.

Thats right the X1 case have been shipped and are already on the way to distributors and stockists.

As this is monumental news for many members i thought it best to announce it in its own thread rather than post it multiple times in the various threads covering this topic.

I may close all other threads to keep things tidy etc so please use this thread for X1 case posts.

This is Official from NI to me today so you guys know all i know and you are totally up-to-date. This information is current and is complete.

Are they any different from the first batch that made it to stores? I'm confused by all the back-and-forth about this.

 

Havent seem em mate.
Apparently there is a difference but i wont speculate cus Im not 100% what the difference is. I know they have slightly different printing on them.

Daniel will no doubt clear this up. Ill ask him to post.

My original cases are perfect in every way though.

I'd buy another X1 just so I'd have an excuse to get another case.

I just filed my tax return....looks like a Maschine with enough left over for a new mixer.

 

With a little luck I receive my X1 one next week, fingers crossed.
The bag is still in backorder.

 

In stock at B&H.

thought i provide some more pictures since noone else seems to have it yet

i think the old one had a zipper, the new one doesn't

many people seemed to complaying about the bag being to small, this is not the case anymore

the velcro strap is ok, the leather pads on the top of th ebag help so that the x1 is fixed

I guess its so that existing customer orders are met before any new ones are taken.

My cousin happened to be at a local shop and picked one up for me. Was wondering if anyone here can comment...besides the velcro/zipper difference between the first batch and the new batch, any other significant differences in build/quality?

 

Ah great, now I have to buy another X1 so I can get a new bag. Damn you NI!

 

Just did some more digging and found Karlos' post on DJTT with pics of the first batch. To compare, it appears that the lid of the second batch can be flipped upside down and put back inside the base of the case (lower half of the bag) to form the stand(one side of the lid has foam inserts and the other side is smooth(exterior), whereas the first batch I assume you simply remove the zipper lid and prop up the stand "pieces" within the bag and place the X1 on top.
