Kontrol X1 controling decks AB and CD mapping

I have made a mapping to control all 4 decks A/B/C/D using the Native-Mode and the MIDI-Mode of the KX1 within Traktor Pro / Scratch Pro.

The MIDI-Mapping for the decks C/D in this TSI is exact like the original Native-Mode mapping for decks A/B that comes with the KX1.

The only thing i didnt manage to work is the HotCUE function, because the HotCUE Button does not work in MIDI-Mode. But all other functions work like in Native-Mode mapping. The Effect controls in both mappings control FX1 and FX2 because i dont need 4 Effects but you can easily change the Mapping in that way you can control FX3 and FX4 in MIDI-MODE by replacing the EFX-Settings targeting FX1 and FX2 with the same Mappings targeting FX3 and FX4.

Only one KX1 is needed!

Updated Versions of the Mapping

Ive fixed the IN and OUT buttons that were mapped wrong...
also i addes another tsi to control DECK C/D and FX 3/4

X1_MIDI_BM_2FX.tsi
controls DECK C/D and FX 1/2 when in MIDI-Mode

X1_MIDI_BM_4FX.tsi
controls DECK C/D and FX 3/4 when in MIDI-Mode

really great and thorough mapping DeeSaR. Just curious, have you experienced any inconsistent LED behavior using this mapping both in MIDI & Native mode?

 

@mest42085: yes, in the mapping X1_MIDI_BM_2FX.tsi the fx-section controls fx1 and fx2 in both modes (native and midi) switching between the modes dont tell traktor to send the ccs again, so the leds might be different to what is activated. The mapping X1_MIDI_BM_4FX.tsi controls fx1 and fx2 in native mode and fx3 and fx4 in midi mode and the leds should match the activated function betwenn mode switches.

do i need an audio interface to get C&D working?

my set up.
Software - Traktor Pro 1.2.3
2 CDJ400
1 DJM 600 (External Mixer Mode)
Kontrol X1 - Replacement on the way

 

If I import the .tsi, the assignment table for X1 Midi Mapping - Generic Midi (etc.) is empty!(?)
I can assign anything afterwards, but it does not load the Mappings.

Where's the problem?

 

I imported the .tsi and it wouldn't import at all. Now I can't even get my X1 to work at al. I tried loading the default .tsi and it still will not work now.

I already tried, uninstalling everything (Traktor Pro, Control Editor, and X1 drivers).

Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

 

Hi Bittersugar,
There are different ways to reset your X1. The easiest would be to go to the preferences, select the X1 tab and click on restore.
Alternatively, if you have problems with Traktor at all, you can simply launch the Setup Wizard by clicking Help -> Start Setup Wizard.

I imported the .TSI but it wont work...is there any specific configuration that needs to be done on preferences?, PLS HELP, the only way it works is if I change the midi port in the preferences but then it will only work midi mode it wont work on native mode....PLS HELP

 

Thanks worked really well. can u please explain how i can map the x1 to scroll througth songs like in the mapping that u done for deck C D but for tdeck A and B ? I like the fact that open the all screen to view songs.

Hey Deesar, i got issues with my in and out button on deck B. can u please explain how u got it fixed please. my issue is that the in and out button are always on. i cant take the loop out. its killing me deck B. thanxs for your support and attention.

 

button light intensity in MIDI mode

hi there,

buttons of my X1 unit when in MIDI mode are not able to display small intensity changes.

sending value 0 to the button means light off.
sending anything above 0 means full light.

nothing in between. but in native mode (while for example controlling decks A & B), phase difference is nicely shown on the BEAT buttons with different intensity.

are you experiencing the same with your X1?

btw: HOTCUE button is not sending any signal (tested with MIDIOX) nor is the button defined in controller editor. I suppose it's not possible to map it in MIDI mode.

Wanted to ask, you can do that would light turns on in midi mode when you switch effects in Native mode? When you turn on the effect of "ON" midi mode turns lights, go to Native mode and the "ON" lights up, too. And if we include the effect in Native mode, clicking in midi mode light is not lit. What kind of mysticism So it is with "Snap" and "Quant".
