Hello, I'm new to X1 controllers and thinking of buying the MK2 version. While it is clear how the beat jump function works with the MK1, I can't seem to find anywhere how you are suppose to do it on the new MK2 due to beat buttons being removed in it. I'm guessing it is a secondary function that is done via shift button, but how exactly is it done, I mean by default? Also I would love to know how do you guys beat jump on an MK2? Maybe there are better ways to do it like using the touch strip? So far the only decent way that I read about on this forum was dedicating the effect assign buttons (2 small horizontal ones on each side) to beat jump by Anselm. I'd love to hear other options as well

    Hi,
    to make a beatjump: shift+ loop-encoder.
The size of the the beatjump is linked to the size of the loop: set the size with the loop-encoder then shift + loop-encoder.
    Much greater than on mk1.

Hi, what about beat jumping 1 beat within a loop? With the MK1 I can only press the beat button 1 time on the beat jump button. What about the MK2? Thanks

I have the same problem... The 1 beat loop move was one of my most used functions on the MK1 - Did you find a solution for this?

I've the same problem. I mean, Audio Slave is right, I know you can do the same by setting 1 beat loop and press shift+turn the loop wheel 1 time but it's not as simple as in the old X1 where you just need to press 1 button! Personally I don't really understand why NI changed the position of the play button! I've used the old x1 for 11 years and it's not easy to change. Also the access to the cues from 5 to 8 is less simple than in the old version. Another problem I noticed by using the mk2 is that the FX buttons are too small! also the use of the touch strip is not as handy as it could be. I hope someone will answer to the main question:
how can I skip 1 beat by pressing ONLY ONE BUTTON withe the X1 MK2?

    thanks

Re-map one of the FX buttons? Or make it SHIFT+FX1/SHIFT+FX2?

Work out one of the buttons you don't use and hard code it.
