You certainly can. Here's a rather grainy iPhone pic of me using them at a little attic gig I do.
I have pimped them with Chroma Caps and Fader Caps

I have a question for you Karlos - I'm thinking of getting a MkIi X1 and a Z1 to create a 'micro set up' for when I'm not using the S4. However, my question is how would I connect the X1, Z1 and my existing F1 with a MacBook Pro, because there are only 2 USB ports?

You would need a USB hub dude. It's a shame that our Macs only have 2 ports because I would like to add an F1 to my Z1/X1 setup occasionally.

I'd recommend the D-Link 7. I have it and its excellent.
Put the Z1 on its on port (never put a soundcard on a hub) and the X1 and F1 on the Hub.

Using a hub with such a 'micro setup' is kinda defeating the object but it's the only way you will get 3 units into 2 ports.

There are plenty of other, cheaper hubs but the D-Link can also charge your iPhone if you have one and your iPad and it is super compact and pretty sturdy. I think there might even be a smaller version of it.

Thanks for the answer, definitely a shame re: 2 USBs on the Macs. I get what you mean about defeating the object. Do you have a link to the D-Link hub so I know exactly what you're on about. Thanks again.

    Hi guys,

I'm super keen on a small setup whilst retaining options and have opted for this very combo. Laptop, Z1, X1 and it fits in my backpack nice and snug :)

I'm moving from an ACP40 and Ableton background so looking to learn the X1 inside out as soon as possible. I'll be doing a healthy amount of searches but just wondered if there is a particularly good resource / video / tut you can direct me to?

I'll be purchasing a Mk2 so I understand there might not be a lot of info out yet, but i'm guessing watching a Mk1 tutorial will still be hugely beneficial?

    cheers

Should be fine! The main issue is the recommendation to connect audio interfaces directly to the computer to avoid latency issues.

Sup Guys! Dumb Question bu What have been your solution for booth out situations with the Z1? I mean, Carrying a small Behringer Mixer kinda defeats the modular setup right? DI Box maybe?

Hi Everybody! Need help. I'm going to buy Knotrol s2 mk2 OR z1+x1 mk2. So can you help me? What is the diffrence? Is it equal in terms of functionality: Kontrol S2 MK2 = Kontrol Z1 + X1 MK2 ? Setup of two Z1&X1 will more comfortable for travelling or any act in the clubs (easy to go). So I confused what should i choose....

    Thanks for any advise!
