Kontrol Z1 only compatible with TP 2.6.2 ?

    Hi! Just read about the new Traktor Pro Update 2.6.2. an one of its Key Features is the "Integration of TRAKTOR KONTROL Z1". So will the Z1 only work with TP 2.6.2? I still have TP 2.6.0. because NI dosnt supports my iOS any more (Snow Leopard). I guess TP 2.6.0. will recorgnize the Z1 as a normal Midi Controller but what about the Soundcard?

    2.6.2 has Z1 integration so that it plug n plays with a default mapping (like the X1).
    My understanding is that you will be able to make a user map with 2.6.0 as the Z1 will be recognised as a standard midi controller and soundcard but you will have to create the mapping yourself. Shouldn't be hard for the Z1.

    Ach.. that's super annoying! I'm also on 2.6.0/ Snow Leopard, and didn't realise my Z1 (which arrives on Monday) wouldn't be compatible. Should have read the small print! Was it really necessary to up the system requirements for a x.x.2 update!

    I guess I'll have to make to with MIDI mapping and manually set up soundcard - don't mind the hassle, but it sounds less reliable, and I guess lower resolution (NI integrated stuff runs at 4x MIDI resolution, right?)

    PS I'm actually on 2.5.0 - does anyone know if it's possible to still get the 2.6.0 update somewhere?

    Can you give us a little report on monday about the compatibility of the Z1 on Snow Leopard? I guess it should also work on Traktor Pro 2.5.0 as a normal Midi Controller. Do you think some functionalities wont work on Snow Leopard?

    Not sure on the details yet, but the Z1 will have to be a standard class-compliant MIDI for it to work with iOS, which should also make it mappable for any software.

    Karlos, my Mac wont recognize my Kontrol Z1 on the audio midi setup panel. It wont appear under my midi devices list, therefore I can't create a mapping setting. I am using Traktor Pro 2.6.0 on my MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.8. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? I can successfully use it as a sound card, it's just the mapping issue. Hope you can help me out... I really don't want to upgrade to mountain lion. Thanks.
