Hi, I just got my F1 and tried a few things. One idea was arranging my samples with the aid of colors. Did this just to see that at the next starts Traktor does not care for my work and regives random colors every time a sample ist loaded "fresh".
Is this normal or is there any way to permanently color my samples the way I warnt?
    Thanks in advance

No, that's one of the stupid look-over when NI set up things.
The colour is retained in a remix set you saved, not in the browser as an object.
    Which is dumb.
The sample "in the list" should be the default 'place' to choose the colour and the remix deck should be the specific optional choice for that remix set.
    Does that make sense?

That no one at NI's development team, in the several years of existence of this type of decks, took on him or her to change that is just beyond me.

But you know it's like Traktor's not having the loop recorder preferred choice of source to be be remembered. It makes sense to have that as at least an option, but no, too easy, or too obvious to make it happen...in several years.

One can argue that may not have received suggestions about those, sure but do I (we) really have to tell you to unzip your pants before you pee? C'mon guys.

Thanks for your in detail answer. Since I am kind of new to Traktor I meanwhile figuered out the saving of my own "Remix Deck Set" as a kind of workaround. Beeing a new user of Traktor I since now had the feeling everything was incredibly sophisticated and perfect.
Sad to hear that there are more flaws and that improvement seems to not always be achievable.Would certainly be smart to save the color with the sample itself......

I do wonder if this is because of the option to export the Remix Set?
Once exported the colors and samples and all preferences are saved. No extra data left over.
I'm sure it's quite possible to make it an option.
But I also wonder if the samples with same names like "kick 1" would be totally different samples, but confusing, because of the settings and colors assigned?
But yeah that Looprecorder option is much needed, I've asked in the beta test and in feature suggestions myself.
