Re: Can´t rename User Pages in Plug in Mode.

That's by design- the host key commands get priority.

...and a down-right super annoying design at that! Typing in your KoreSound attributes in a Sonar host leaves you with about 2/3rds of the keys to work with. Disabling all key-commands in Sonar doesn't disable the space bar and single letter commands that come standard, either. In Live 4.14, I can't use the keyboard at all inside of Kore, whether I have the keyboard activated inside Live or not! It all adds up to saving KoreSounds inside of a host a pretty crummy affair.

The Kore Headphone option doesn't show up in Live 5.
    I does in FL6 though.

    Re: KORE bug list

That's weird- it does in 4.14. However, no matter what you have it set at if you're using the KORE audio interface in Live, your master will always default to outs 1 & 2. Could this be your problem?

If it is, see if 3 & 4 (the headphone outs) show up in your output choices in the options menu. If they do, they'll show up in the track and master outs as well...

aha! thanks ew! Silly me, I was looking for it to say "kore headphone out" like it does FL6.

    outs 3/4 do the trick.

You, know? It sounds pretty damn good.

In a host no VST interface screen updating.

It's just me checking in again with my befuddlement of the day. In standalone, when I twiddle assigned kore knobs, the corresponding knobs in the Pro53, for example, move as well. Using Kore inside of Sonar 5 or Live 5, the Pro53 or any other synths knobs do not update the Kore knob-twiddling, which stinks when you're changing things such as waveforms or anything where you need to see via the plugs little screens what new thing you have selected, as the Kore controller doesn't give you this info. either.

Is there some kind of host internal midi routing I need to do to get this to work or is it just not possible?

Re: KORE bug list (crash log attached)

    All,
Finally getting around to installing Kore on my main Workstation:

    PowerMac G5/Dual 2.5/4GB/2x 250GB
    Digi 002 Rack
    Kore
    Rig Kontrol 2

I've attached the first Kore crash log, so that someone may be able to glean info from that. Appears that it's crashing (and logging) on Arturia Prophet V, and Fabfilter One. It's also crashing at BIAS Freq-4, but not logging it to the crash log.

Also, I seem to be missing a multitude of VST's. I've listed them all out here as well...

    Missing:
    Antares Kantos 1.0 VST
Bias GateEx VST, PitchCraft VST, Repli-Q VST, Reveal VST, Sqweez3,5, Superfreq4,6,8,10 (it sees Sqweez 1.1 and VBox 2.5 but adds them to the UNKNOWN category)
    ReFX Claw, Beast, PlastiCZ, Trasher2

All the MDA VST's are located in the unknown section. It's also noteworthy that the three VST's that were implicated in the crashing, Freq-4, Prophet V, and Fabfilter One - all show up.

System is 10.4.7 (built as new)
All Plugins are the latest versions the respective manufacturers have (no betas, all released)
NI Komplete 3, with all updates applied, and Kore 1.0.1.

Kore can´t find EA Pages in Cubase SX 3

I worked on a song under Cubase SX3 and everthing worked fine. After a few days (i saved the File a few times and it worked) I had no access to the EA PAges. They were all gone!!! In the Page Manager there is only the Mixer Page available.

Kore produces Noise while running as standalone

When I start Cubase as standalone I hear a quiet Noise (high/distorted) in my right Speaker. When I turn the Kore Navigation Wheel it also produces a quiet noise. While running as PlugIN there is no such sound.

When I´m loading a Song with a few Kore Instruments in Cubase SX3 the Kore Instruments lose their names.

Re: KORE bug list (crash log attached)

The plugins you find in the unknown category are carbon vst plugins, but we only support mach-o. The plugin developer must update them to mach-o anyway in the near future, if they want to support the MacTel platform.

The other plugins that aren't scanned, should be work hopefully with the next update, we did some changes in the scanning mechanism.

    Best regards,

Service Center Does not Load Anymore

NI Service Center does not connect to my account ANYMORE after it got auto updated to 1.0.0.8

I Seem to have the converse problem of a lot of folks on the NI Service center threads. I could install and authorize Kore/Komplete fine and the NI service center ran fine.

Today I decided to check my user and registration data and started NI Service Center, expecting that the software would not just break itself once installed and running. Little did I know... Service center let me know a new version was avaialble, updated itself and restarted. Then it told me AGAIN a new version is available, downloaded it but did not restart.

When I start the app, it successfully goes through the online connection check and my log in credentials are correctly displayed (and yes they are correctly persisted in settings.xml). When I click the Next button, NOTHING HAPPENS. The connection wheel just keeps turning above the little version number in the lower right corner. I NO LONGER have access to my user account/registration information via the service app.

    Someone please HELP

Here are the things I already did and checked:
    - I have the correct flash player version 8.0.22 (checked manually via XP file search and via the adobe web site)
    - The flash player path name in settings.xml points to the correct flash player directory, and that directory indeed contains the flash dll ver 8.0.22
    - I restarted the service app, same thing happens
    - I uninstalled the service app (via the add/remove control panel in XP) and reinstalled from the web page - same thing
    - I have not installed any new hardware or software component since I originally installed Komplete/Kore (and service center) 5 days or so ago
    - I have turned off my firewall and virus check program
    - My settings.xml looks exactly as described in this forum

My System: Windows XP Pro, Intel 4 3Ghz CPU, 1.5G Ram

Thanks for your help on this

    Re: KORE bug list

Ok I seem to have had success getting my system working again and connected to my user account data at the NI backend.

Oddly enough what I did was uninstall the service center app yet one more time, uninstall the flash plug in, install Firefox (?!), which in turn prompted me to reinstall flash as a plug in (as soon as I hit the NI site...), and finally I reinstalled the service center from the unprotectd update area on teh NI site. After I did all that I reestablished connection to my user data via the service center app.

    Re: KORE bug list

Here are a few more bugs/issues/suggestions

    1) BUG (pri 2) Service center application: after the initial registration of Komplete and Kore (received the KC06 is on the way mail), the service center app showed most Komplete products as unregistered (some like Absynth showed up as registered). Restarting the service center application showed all instruments as registered

    2) Suggestion (pri 1): While service center displays all available updates for a particular ni instrument, it does not help users with the correct install order of each update nor does it do a check for the current update status of the locally installed ni instruments - ideally the service center app checks what the current version of the installed ni apps is and then displays only the applicable updates, better yet it should walk users through the exact update sequence and best would be a back ground downloader and update installer such as the windows system update background installation mechanism

    3) BUGs? (pri 1) Ableton Live 5 crashes: I crashed live 3 times so far (which I had never managed to do before). I am using KORe as a vst plug in. I dragged a Reaktor sound to the channel bar and the application immediately crashed my machine. The song I was working on includes two other plugins: EastWest Kontakt Lite VST plugins Hardcore base and Symphonic Orchestra(not in KORE). I am going to update my physical memory today to make sure this was not a low resource issue (even then though this crash should not have happened).
I will try to recreate the exact crashing conditions on my machine and if NI wants can send you the Live set and crash condition description (I manage dev teams for a living besides doing a few paying composition gigs a year so I know its hard to repro my crash conditions from the above info). I have ran into some unrelated RAM chip reliability issues and will debug this to make sure these bugs are not related to a faulty RAM DIM chip

    4) BUG (Pri 2) - using KORe as a vst plug in in Live (5.0.2), I can't seem to be able to type anything into the search text box - therefore text searches of the sound db dont seem to work in this setup. Is that a "feature", is there something I need to specifically enable? Something I overlooked? If I did, it surely is not a reasonalbe user experience as I tried all the usual UI tricks

Needed to calculate a value for something, opened the Microsoft calculator, and Kore froze. I was in standalone mode, using Superwave P8. Also, the unit did not shut down properly and remained lit and screen frozen.

Windows XP SP2, 512 Ram, latest Kore update

No Text input to Seach text box while in Live 5.0.2 & other bugs

Could someone confirm that they also cannot enter search text into the data base search text box when using KORE as VST plug in in Live 5.0.2? Hoping this is a well known issue that NI fixes in their next update (Please)!

Also a few other issues I hit upon:
    1) LCD screen issues: smudges on screen, the display itself is rotated by ca 10 degrees with respect to the display window, also whenever core restarts there are artifacts on the screen

    2) I also get occasional pops and crackles when using KORE as vst in Live 5.0.2 with Reaktor patches when hitting CPU usage of about 50% (no other app is running, background tasks like firewall and virus scanner are turned off). The problem is not consistent though

    3) I get *occasional* mid song unpredictable CPU spikes (again KORe in Live 5.0.2)

On a positive note, I really like the sound db and sound meta data concept and it has already helped my work flow on a couple of tracks. I am keeping my unit and crossing my fingers that the next update will make KORE work a little more smoothly in Live.

    Re: KORE bug list

    EpicDawn,

No, I can't type ANYTHING in Kore when using it in Live 5.2 -- can't type in new attributes for sounds I've designed, etc. I run standalone mode to design sounds/setups.

And just a bug reminder for NI -- when you rename the additional output channels of a VST such as Battery or Kontakt, they are never saved the next time you load the sound, all the output channels names are the same as the original channel that hosts the plugin/outputs 1-2.

Anyway, I set up a sweet KoreSound with Battery 2 and 8 output channels as a template for creating new kits -- used up all 8 User Pages for lots of quick editing and easy automation in a host. Is there anywhere to post KoreSounds yet?
