Well I have been having the same problem trying to get Kore 1.1 to work with Acid Pro 6.0d. The Koresound(s) will play while I'm either editing the Kore plug-in or from the track field in Acid when it is NOT running in play and/or record mode. Once I arm the track & hit play & or record - no sound from Kore. Midi notes are recorded but nothing sounds on playback.
I inquired on the Acid forum & this was confirmed. And like FL, v 1.0 of Kore DID work with Acid.....

I'm having the same issue here. Kore 1.1 loads fine as a standalone and also into EnergyXT and Live. It loads into FLStudio, but as soon as any sounds are loaded, the CPU jumps to 200%. I have tried this with multiple patches too. It was working perfectly before 1.1, so this definitely is a problem with the patch. I don't have any ReWire programs open (although I do have Live, Tracktion, and Reason), so I don't think it's with that.

So NI should recognize this as a very serious bug with this patch/update. Kore 1.1 simply doesn't work as a plugin in more than one prominent major host.

This should not be FL's issue to fix, or ACID's issue to fix, but Native Instruments needs to provide 1 more update that corrects these issues. It shouldn't be very difficult, just determine which code changes have been made between 1.03 and 1.1, and test via these hosts before releasing the fix.

Actually, as far as Acid is concerned, version 1.03 never worked either (Acid would hang indefinitely whenever I attempted to load Kore). Version 1.0 is the only version of Kore I've been able to use without issue, which is ironic as just about everyone else and their dog was reporting serious problems within other hosts. It seems Kore didn't become broken within Acid until NI began "fixing" it.

Any reason why KORE does not have ReWire? Any plans for it in the future?

The solution for FL Studio is this:

In the wrapper, i needed to turn on "use fixed size buffers"

Why the heck did Kore get changed to "Require" a fixed buffer length?

This solution may or may not work for other hosts, if they do not provide a fixed buffer length option.

And now I've managed to solve the issue in ACID (for me at least).

    1. Go to Options-> Preferences-> Audio Device

    2. Hit Advanced, this should bring up the settings on your sound card.

My Buffering settings were set at 11ms. I set it lower and voila! Kore behaved itself again. My buffer is currently set at 5ms. If I set it higher, the CPU overload problem would pop up again. Kore now seems choke at a high buffer rate, at least in plugin mode (stand alone had no such issues).

Ah... now that's interesting. Gol was hinting that something like that might be the case when I wrote him about the problem. And, if you're using KORE as your audio interface, the fixed size buffer requirement makes sense.

Well it seems I spoke too soon. Kore will playback and record just fine in Acid now, but whenever I render it every single note on the Kore track(s) is either clipped short or doesn't play at all. I've tried it with a number of different settings and codecs and the result is always the same.

And back to version 1.0 I go. Aaaaargh!

Brilliant! It works! I'm so happy! Thank you Cline! And Merry Christmas everybody on the whole frikkin planet. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some music to make.

I have replicated RJ Fielder's results, including the same rendering of files with skipping occurring within the output. The trick to at least getting it working for playback is to chose lower latency settings on Options -> Preferences -> Audio Device -> Advanced -> Configure. I'm using "standard" and that seems to work. I'm going to try to downgrade to 1.0 and see if that works.

Update: Sorry I never followed up on this thread... downgrading to 1.0 did not solve the problem for me.
