    Hi there all,

I know it has been already discussed, but I need more help on the subject. After installing the 2.1 revision and after performing a full plug-in folder rescan (Program files/Steinberg/VSTplugin) and a database rebuild, I manage to see all the installed plug-in in the right click menu of every slot.

Unfortunately, every time I close and reopen Kore most of them disappear: I'm left with the Native Instruments ones (not just the internal to Kore) plus few more vendors. A new rescan restores (time consuming) the correct status.

It's a Win XP Pro SP2 PC: the weirdest thing, it didn't happen before installing the 2.1 update. I've tried to reinstall everything but no joy...

    Any help is really appreciated!

    Welcome =)

Do your full scan with Kore as a standalone. Close Kore and reboot your system at the end.

    Dear Ew,

thanks for your kind reply! When I wrote "after performing a full plug-in folder rescan" I meant in standalone mode....

What I've noticed is that the VST plugin .xml file wich is in Documents and settings/my user name/native instruments/Kore2 folder reaches a 250 Kb size after I do the rescan: as soon as I close Kore, the file is rewritten and the new size is 52 Kb... Of course leaving meny plugins out of the list! I've tried to set the file as read only but it didn't work.

Again, what is really strange is that this is happening only after the update to 2.1...

    Cheers!

That definitely shouldn't be happening. Contact support- you've got something else going on.

Same problem here when i install new plugins (UAD plugs especially) i have find a solution that work:
In Options/Plugins set the folder where are the plugins not recognize as Plugin Directory click on Rescan, the database is updated then reset the PluginDirectory as before and rescan one more time ... done

I installed 2.1 update and, as Battery update, it didn't install the vst plug-in.
    What's wrong?

Did you install the plugin when you updated Battery?

No. 1st I had a problem with Battery 3.06 update.
It didn't install the vst plug and doesn't have any option to install it again. I had do uninstall and install the dvd version (3.0 I suppose).

With Kore I had the same problem. It didn't install the vst plugs too...

Yeah- if you installed originally witthout installing the VST version, you'd need to go back and install from the original media.
