Since updating to 2.1, now whenever I turn a knob on kore, the corresponding dial on screen is selected for a moment and then the selection jumps to a different knob. Sometimes the selection jumps around quickly to different ones. By this I mean the red ring just jumps to different knobs randomly.

Also sometimes it just goes into midi mode and I can't get it out. Anyone else having these issues?

I've had the controller flip out on me on occasion. When it does, shut down your system and reboot without the controller plugged in. Plug the controller in when it's up and running.

You can always get out of MIDI mode. Press the view button, and then the rightmost button above the dials; this will select Kore mode. Now, press the two buttons to the left of the dial to shut off the controller and go into standby (the Kore logo will be on the screen).

    Thanks ew,

I have rebooted but the problems persisted (I had Kore plugged in though). However when I get home, I'll try connecting it after booting up.

    hi,

regarding your first problem,i had exactly the same problem.it means your knob-sensitivity is too high:
in the software go to options>hardware>touchsensitivity, adjust to a low value.fixed.
this is something that changed with the update, because i NEVER had this issue before.

    cheers!

    Excellent, thanks!

I'll adjust that when I get home. It's very strange though that high sensitivity would result in a control being selected in the gui that isn't being touched at all, even while you're actually touching another knob at the same time.

Well plugging in the control while everything was on didn't change anything so I tried changing the knob sensitivity as suggested. I moved it down to about 30%. It's much better now, but it is still somewhat fiddly. It used to be bang on before the 2.1 upgrade. Whatever knob I was moving had a red ring around it at all times. Now the red ring is usually around the right knob, but still sometimes jumps to a random knob as I'm moving a totally different knob. If I let go and grab it again it pulls it over. It's not happening too much anymore, but before the update it was very sensitive and still always selected the right one.

    Hi,

I have the same problem. To decrease the touch sensitivity to 0 % didn't solve the problem. This must be a Kore 2.1 bug. With Version 2.0 does it work.

I own the Kore 1 controller with Kore 2 software.

    Greetings
    Sebastian

    Welcome =)

Read my first post in the thread; I use the Kore 1 controller myself.

Ah, I thought my controller had bust.

After updating to 2.1 I noticed the same thing. The top-right knob keeps getting selected and it's value 'jitters' constantly.

I used the support page to ask about this but I've had no response at all.

I have a similar problem. It's better with Sensitivity set to 0 but not perfect. The other odd thing is that when I adjust knob 1, the label/meter at the top of the kore display which shows the active controller quickly flickers between Knob 1 label / meter and the name of the control page - like its stuck on the displaying the name of the control page but the knob usage causes it to oscillate to the knob label/meter

I'm also using a long-ish usb cable. Might that be an issue?

I've given up on this release working completely correctly. Hopefully an update fixes the issue. I don't having to have it set to really low sensitivity so that the selection ring jumps around less. And it still happens anyways.

Same here, along with the other jumpy crap that's been going on since day one.

    hardware driver versions

I just ordered kore and would like to avoid these issues, thus using the previous driver to 2.1. I don't know what driver will come with it, so is there a way to get the previous driver if that doesn't come with it?

Same problem with mine as well...it is annoying! I also hope they fix this bug soon unless there is something wrong with my setup?

I'm having similar issues with Kore 2.1 as well. I think it has to do with the new MIDI functionality. I'll give a detailed report later on when I get home.

    Here are my findings:

    1. Try to remove all CC assignments under Options->Hardware->MIDI Controller. Upon removing the last one, Kore will crash.
    2. Try setting the "InPort" and "OutPort" in the same dialog to "None". Click OK. Open again. Kore resets them always.
    3. I noticed that when having MIDI assignments assigned in that dialog, the Kore software would behave oddly. Sometimes, moving one knob in one Kore instance would move another knob in another Kore instance.

Perhaps some of the above is related to my setup, but I'd be curious to know if anyone else experiences any of that.

My big concern is that there are MIDI messages floating around Kore that can cause big, hard to diagnose headaches--especially if your sending MIDI data around your computer with MIDI Yoke or Loopbe.

I wish there was a way to turn that feature off--or disable the MIDI Controller settings. Is there a way that I'm missing?

I'm experiencing the same issues. When I turn a knob I can see the red ring jumping to other parameters. Also some of te buttons are iffy, meaning that sometimes I have to press the control button (for example) several times before it changes. This button issues happens just from time to time, but the jumping red ring seems to be pretty consistant. I'm on 10.5.8 (Macbook) with the combo update and I've done all available updates for Kore 2. I have no other devices plugged into my computer and I've repaired disk permissions. I've restarted my computer and tried other USB cables and my Kore 2 is not plugged into a hub and I set the sensitivity down. There are a few people I work with who also have Kore 2 and none of them are experiencing this issue. Anyone else make any progress getting this resolved?
