It does. Sometimes side by side using with komplete kontrol is not so easy, but this is because of the usb drivers...But i just checked it, Controller and Software works in 10.12.6...So i guess from software side in high sierra at least it could work as well...

Kore 2 (Software Edition) works perfectly over High Sierra, but I can't install some Kore Soundpacks, like Urban Arsenal 2, Sonic Fiction or Paranormal Activity. The installer shows a fail message: Mac OS X 10.4 or higher are needed.

Urban Arsenal 2 was one of my favorite Kore Soundpacks :(

You can install Kore soundpacks manually if you can unpack the installer (maybe with something like Pacifist) and then place the Koresounds and samples in the needed locations.

I didn't need any soft. Only "show pack content" and there was the ksd's and the samples. But with Sonic Fiction and Paranormal Spectrums Kore doesn't take samples automatically.

Thanks for your idea, I have again Urban Arsenal 2.

Thusis, Can yo confirm with us are you on Sierra 10.12.x or High Sierra 10.13.x?

I have always updated (OS X) with my Kore already installed and authorized. Yesterday I received my new iMac Pro and it was shipped with High Sierra (10.13.x) My current Kore 2 I have is running perfect on 10.11.6 / Logic X 10.3.x. Since I have a backup of this system I am going to take the plunge up to 10.12 and see how it goes.

Assuming Thusis is talking about Sierra 10.12, not High Sierra 10.13, it should be ok. Once I know Sierra is ok with Kore 2 then I will backup again and then take the plunge into High Sierra.

So does the Kore 2 hardware definitely work in Sierra (not High)? - I may have to install it to get the new Logic update

This is with an existing install so not wanting to install from fresh which I know could be more challenging

I know High S is not a good idea at the moment - want to avoid the new file system

OK I have updated to Sierra, the plugin works but the hardware isn't lighting up/communicating (except for a second when I plug in the USb cable, then it goes dead). Is this why I need to disable SIP?

Yeah, I think that's the reason.

It is actually quite miraculous that Kore 2 survives all the Apple shenanigans with OS updates for all this time...

Indeed it is - they built it well (same for Alchemy)

And it works with SIP disabled - amazing. Only question now is do I need to keep it disabled or can I re enable it?

Hmm, not sure. Perhaps SIP is important just during installation of the driver, or something? In any case, you can always try reenabling and see if it works. If not, disable it again.

Yep just did - looks like SIP needs to stay disabled for it to work :(

That was not the case on El Cap

Oh well, at least I know it can work

Alright all finished setting up the new iMac Pro. End result High Sierra 10.13.3, Kore 2.1.4, Driver 2.6.0 all working fine, in fact maybe even better than before, but that may be due to SSD performance.

I don't think having SIP enabled is a big deal for people like us as we are already critical about what we install or where we go with our computers.

Sorry, what is SIP? I have a Kore that I was thinking of connecting.
