    Hello NI,

it was November 30th when the last update status message said beta testing. Would be nice to hear news, I am sure I am not the only one who deliberately invested into Komplete 6 to use it with Kore 2 in conjunction.

    Thanks
    Georg

It's still in testing. What more can they say?

Yes, I too bought the upgrade because it said it would work with Kore 2, only to be sorely disappointed. But Kore itself needs an upgrade anyways (64-bit? Multi-core support?)...

You can't blame NI for the lack of x64 support...

Blame hardware manufacturers for releasing crappy x64 drivers, assuming they release drivers at all.
Blame the DAW makers for not releasing x64 versions years ago.
Blame Microsoft for releasing an x32 version of Win7.
Blame major OEM's like Dell for still selling x32 machines with 4GB RAM.
Blame the major plugin makers such as Waves for not releasing x64 versions.

I want x64 support as much as everyone, but I'm guessing it still isn't happening anytime soon. Logic JUST released their x64 update, which will hopefully spark development. But then you have the behemoth that is ProTools chugging along with dated technology... will they EVER update to x64? We can only hope I guess...

I'm guessing Kore won't go x64 until NI's entire software catalog is x64. So that means waiting for Reaktor 6.

The delay for 2.1.1 is frustrating though... I've been holding off on my Komplete 6 purchase until it's 100% compatible with Kore (as it should have been months ago).

Nadine ( The Mac Lady) from NI in Berlin mentioned to me a Komplete 6 updated Kore Version would definately come out. This is why I got Komplete 6 in the first place, and the excellent price last year of course.

64 bit and multicore is much desired of course. While VE Pro does a good job, the big downside is that plugin automation is not available from within VE Pro.

    Hey folks:

How about they make it work first and then add support for other stuff second. That's what I want, in any case. Not being able to edit my Komplete patches in Kore without hoopjumping is a pain and not being able to edit the component sounds of my Kore packs is REALLY annoying. Also Guitar Rig modules having to be manually reloaded every time is tiresome.

Functionality and then integration with new tech says I.

    I'm sorry, I don't buy that.

With reference to 64bit Kore, We are talking about a host here. It should be leading the way and not waiting for other VSTs to go first.

I really don't see the problem here. Release the x64 version. Support only x64 plugins. If users want to use something like JBridge to access their 32 bit plugins well......that's up to them, NI don't need to support it.

So please, no more of this "waiting for Reaktor 6" nonsense. Release it ASAP to support the x64 plugs that are already there (including most of NIs own ones)

...Did NI say they were delaying Kore x64 until the release of Reaktor 6 anywhere?

Not that I'm aware of, I was just responding to Funky D's guess. NI don't seem to be saying anything at all about x64.

I hope this isn't the case.

HUH? Ew, you said that it was still in TESTING (your comment above) and he said that's not what it said on the box, ie, on the box it said that Komplete was "Kore-Ready"

I mean it's one thing to ask us to be patient, but acting like people are being silly for indicating that NI (as is their way, in my experience with the last 10 years) overpromised functionality and now has made us wait a very long time with no fix, no news and no transparency of process, no open betas, no nothing... acting like people are being silly for politely calling a spade a spade here is kinda rude. I'm guessing that wasn't your intent, but still.

Context: I SOLD all my other gear to build a Kore/Guitar Rig/Rig Kontrol setup and it works ok, but I demand better. I committed to NIs stuff out of love for GR's sound and the Spark ensemble and the need for a unified, light and small controller setup. And I love everything about it except how it isn't properly integrated. So I'm gonna bug you about that and I expect NI to act with integrity towards me, their customer.

    All best!

    @Thomas,

Hi, thanks for your reply and good news!

    @All,

Hi, I am on a Mac, and while I can understand the pressure that is rightly building on developers to update their plugins to 64 bit, I would say they are all more than aware about it and will follow through of course. They have no alternative you know.

If you really think NI is providing a bad service, I urge you to look at Adobe and their _____ <- fill in profanities as you see fit, "policies" concerning CS3 etc. Then you know what bad customer service and rip off really means.

I have to brake a stick here for NI in that respect.

People can not expect to get propper support over a fora driven service, it just does not work, and i tell you companies that only offer fora driven support piss me of big times. The amount of time wasted until any minor issues are adressed, let aside solved is plain ridiculous. Time stealers from Hell.

With NI, and if I really have a problem, all I need is to pick up the phone and have competent and extremly patient people there that will bend backwards to help. Ok, this is my own experience since I use NI products, since Kontakt 1.0 that is.

Thanks God they provide a phone support.

Yeah, it can suck if you need a certain function, payed for a product and the function does not work as you thought, but at NI they will try to fix it, I have numerous examples for that, in opposite to Adobe that just drops support completly, does not dream to fix stuff, and just has you pay them for the next 18 months cycle.

No no, NI ain't that bad at all, and hey, at the end it is software, so **** happens. ;o)

    Best wishes
