you will be happy with Sonar 8.53 x64, i am almost sure. the Bitbridge it employs is actually VERY good, just a few things don't respond well with it

Cool to read other peoples experiences with Bit bridges and stuff because it still does sound like an ordeal to get them going, and is still going to hinder overall music-making... so short term solution for now=

Install XP x32 back on my PC aswel as leaving Win 7 x64 bit on it so I can select the OS at start up. This way I'll have to work on the XP system (with the same old RAM limitations) until hopefully later in the year some big developments happen with x64 bit then switch back (for good!).

    Q.
Can anyone confirm that with regards to all NI products (especially Komplete 5 and Kore 2) I shouldn't have ANY issues with compatibility running them on Win XP x32 ?

I'm just assuming as this was the latest OS at the time of these products release that they'll function at maximum efficiency whilst I wait patiently to switch to Win 7 x64 ?

    Thanks!

(although these issues that occur with software, drivers, updates etc can be frustrating at times, it really helps that forums like this exist to clear up any questions)

right-click in the relevant title bar, e.g. where it says "mode" - a drop-down menu will appear with various categories - the visible ones will be ticked - look for "Soundpack" and put a tick in it's box.

I have another problem, when I open my Keyboard M-Audio. I go on Fruity Loops and when I launch Kore 2. The computer restarts alone.

I konw that the problem comes from the keyboard cause when I just lauch Kore 2 with FL studio , the PC work.

I don't know what to do. Help me please,
    Thank you

Well, my excitement in learing about KORE 2 and the controller, and Komplete 6 is kind of wearing off after reading this thread. I am running Win7 and Sonar 8.5 both in 64 bit. I am wanting to purchare the KORE 2 packagae, but now I'm having doubts about it. This sucks as I was going to get KOMPLETE 6 as well. Now what? Can anyone advise me as to whether or not I should buy this? I'm really wanting it, but not if it's going to be a big headache. Any 64 bit Sonar users here care to share your experience. I can't wait to use the controller, it looks cool.

    Thanks,

I was running Win 7 x64 and couldnt get Kore 2 to work at all. I re-installed Win XP x32 last month as a dual boot and EVERYTHING is perfect!

As ew mentioned earlier in the thread though until EVERYTHING available is fully x64 compatible; plugins, vsts, hardware, sequencers etc then there will always be certain problems arising.

It is obviously only reading 3GB of RAM instead of the full available which is noticeable when I get a lot of tracks goin but for now at least it is great because everything is working so I can get to work

    hope this helps

If you're a working musician, or just want as few problems as possible, then, stick to 32bit for now. Seriously. Use 32bit and get recording otherwise you're going to waste a lot of time waiting for everything to catch-up. It's not worth the wait. Just use what works.

Couldn't disagree more. I've been using REAPER x64 for nearly a year now with no issues and wouldn't even consider moving back.

    Jason,

Are you using KORE 2 in Reaper X64 and it's working fine?

If this is so, I'm wondering how well KORE 2 will work in Sonar X64.

    Thanks

Kore 2 in Sonar x64, from my experience, works almost phenomenally (only one instance per project with Bitbridge). and now rumors are starting to swirl about a true x64 version of Kore software at the end of 2010. do yourself a favor and get it!

Yes sir. Multiple instances, and no further configuration required - works just like any 64 bit plugin.
