    Hi,

I just managed to install my Soundpacks for my Kore Player 2.1.4 on my OSX 10.10.5 iMac (found the workaround here in a thread).

But now I have an issue with the Kore 2 HW Controller. I'd liekt o use it as a midi controller inside Logic X (and other DAWs) and of course inside KORE Player. Newest drivers installed. When connected via USB cable the unit lights up for a few seconds and then seems to be "retiring". Red lights out. Nothing.

The controller can be reached as a midi controller through the audio/mid settings inside the KORE Player. But it doesn't do any thing - no connection.

What would I have to do additionally?

    Regards Jens

The controller doesn't work with the Kore Player. You need a license for the full version of Kore 2 to use the hardware for browsing and morphing.

    Really?

That's a completely new info. The item can't be used as a midi-controller?

    Other than that:
The driver only supports 10.9 OSX. Maybe that's an issue as well.

To use it as a midi control you need to put it in midi mode - press F1 and select the appropriate option for setup (you should also download the 1.6 version of the controller editor)

    Hey,

many thanks for your hints. Very helpful.

So, I will install the Controller Software 1.6.3 (I didn't do that so far). And I guess "midi mode" can be chosen inside this controlelr software, right? I will have a look on this.... and will be back with response.

    Cool!

It works fine! AND: Kore 2 Controller definitely works even with Kore Player (no need the full Kore 2 license).

Now I need to find out how hte controller can be used as a kind of a DAW controller as well as a Kore Player controller - may be at the the same time. So far I use two midi templates:

1 Kore Player (works fine with Kore patches)
2 Mackie Control (doesn't work so far in Logic.

I have to dig deeper into it but if anyone likes to give useful hints.... You're welcome. As you might have recognized: I'm not much of a midi guy. But well ... maybe soon I could become one.

    :)

It can but the software is mainly for setting up controller templates that can then be accessed in the hardware even without controller running (via F1 and the jogwheel/enter to select a template)

Yes, thank you. I found that already as well. Nice.

But now I have to struggle to get this thing working as DAW controller - at least for main simple things like transport and pan.
