Hi Everyone, I am trying to install my Kore 2 controller for use with a repurposed Windows 8.1 machine. I downloaded the Kore 2 Controller Setup PC 3.0.0.625 file from the NI website and installed it. Although it says that the drivers were installed correctly, when I plug in the controller only half of the lights go on (and stay on), and Kore 2 does not see that the controller is installed. Looking in Device Manager, it states that "this device cannot start (code 10)". It appears that the driver has not installed correctly; I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. According to this thread (https://www.native-instruments.com/foru ... -7.129339/) the controller installer from NI breaks up the driver into several files/places that Windows 7 and 8 do not like, and it sounds like I need to manually point the controller to the correct driver. Can anyone assist me with this? I tried unpacking the controller setup .exe file from the NI website and pointing the "update driver" function for the device to that folder, but no luck. I also tried finding the driver files online to download for this purpose, but the websites that claim to have them don't look trustworthy. Bottom line - has anyone here had success installing the drivers for the Kore 2 controller on a Windows 7 or 8 machine, and is there a trick to it? Thank you in advance for your assistance!
I had it installed on a Win 7 laptop years ago but don't recall encountering any particular issues - now on Mac though.
