I bought a Kore 2 controller w/o the software license to use as a standard midi controller, works nicely, bargain!

I wanted to have a go with the free Kore 2 Player too but it doesn't seem to detect the Kore 2 controller in Kore mode, only in midi mode.

    Am I missing something?
Do I need full versions of software, or am I set up wrong?

I've just realised that a new Controller Editor 1.4.2 is available. What's new?

The package installs the Controller Editor (1.4.2)

Adds support for Traktor Kontrol S2
    Adds support for Maschine Mikro
    Fixed sleepmode issue
    Various minor improvements and bugfixes

    thanks jondl!
was thinking that would be the next best option.
have started to get that setup together, is there much difference between this and the proper Kore mode?

Ok....supports Machine Mikro...? but not Machine?
    Is that correct?

Pretty sure that editor version supports Maschine too.
    Won't be anything new though....

Not much difference practically speaking. You can map the knobs and buttons easily - even remap the Channel and CC Numbers. I like this as I've duplicated the CC values from my old AN1x synthesizer 'Assign Knobs' in Controller Editor so Kore Player responds to which ever device I happen to be using. But I can't get the Stop/Start/Cont. buttons to work as intended. User error? Or a bug? I don't know...

And for the other fellow who asked - it seems the latest update to Controller Editor is to accommodate the latest NI hardware - and yes, Maschine was already included.
