Kore 2 doesn't Activate

Hah! even us mods need a little help sometimes....

Today I installed Kore 2 (First time install). The install completed successfully and then ran Service Center. Service Center downloaded an update and then ran. It showed Kore needed to be activated. I entered the Serial number and activation said it completed successfully. I restarted Kore and it once again showed it needed to be activated, so I re-ran S.C. and it showed Kore needed to be activated. I re-ran activation, completed successfully But Kore still started unactivated. I ran the manual activation process and imported the NAF file and even that failed. I sent in the Activation file into Registration support but I suspect there is something not right on my system blocking successful activation.

Anyone got any ideas?

Is this in standalone, Phil?
Did you try rebooting after you closed the SC?

Yes indeed, rebooted on all subsequent attempts, without success.

im having the same exact problem with massive and battery ive tried everything possible but the programs still say their not activated even though the service center says they are. it just doesnt make sense

 

I'm having this exact same problem, with FM8. Did you guys ever get a solution?

Exactly the same issues for me. I've been trying to get Kontakt 3 working since October and I'm still in the same place. Let me know if you find a solution.

 

I gave up waiting for NI to come up with a solution and I think I have fixed it myself.

Here's what I have done:

Installed 10.4.5 on an external HDD.
Copied downloaded FM8 1.0.3 installer to external HDD.
Booted G5 from external HDD.
Installed FM8 on external HDD.
Successfully activated FM8 on external HDD.
Copied the following files from the external HDD:
HD > Library > Preferences > servicecenter.plist
HD > Library > Preferences > fm8.plist
User > Library > Preferences > servicecenter.plist
User > Library > Preferences > fm8.plist
User > Application Support > Native Instruments > FM8 > database
Copied all these files to the appropriate locations on the G5.

Problem solved.

Incidentally, I'm still waiting for a reply from NI (could be a while...) and what really bugs me is that cracks of their stuff, that work fine from what I can gather, are freely available - it's only their paying customers that have to go through this crap. Ah, the sheer madness of copy protection - you've got to love it.
