    Incredible! NI banning itself.
Ok, discontinuing a product is sometimes inevitable; but make Kore vst useless inside Maschine is to force a change - it works good inside every host i know.
I use kore 2, maschine, reaktor, kontakt... but tell me: How can i create performances using machine, for example, and believe they will be still playable in a few years?

Exactly, you can't count on that. You'll need to start collecting laptops that each have a different frozen setup.

Wow! I was actually planning on buying Maschine, but after hearing these news, I'll have to reconsider. I use Kore all the time and plan to do continue doing so.

Sorry Sowari but i have to "turn around" your Statement. Only a few VST's won't work.
This was a Major function which was advertised from NI as they sold Kore2 (i believe it was even printed on the box) and it worked (and still works) like a charm as lonng as the presets are present in a regular (*.fxb file) Format.
I only remember having issues with 2 vst's. these are
-Nexus, which I believe saves the presets in a different way, some sort of a database, so you cant really blame it on NI
-Albino3, where the presets actually getting imported. I had issues only if i saved and opened a Project which contained a Albino3 preset. Then it would load the wrong preset.

What? where is this info coming from? thats scary!
I have an open Ticket (regarding the Kore2 incompatibillity and the missing Ableton template) with the Support which could "Kind of confirm" a cooperation with Ableton.

I thought i share really quick my experience with the NI Support regarding the (in)compatibillity
So far no reply. Will post though "if" they reply...

Kore2 is not causing the issue and doesn't needs support. Maschine 2.0
is causing the issue (kore2 runs fine in all other hosts) I'm asking
    to fix maschine 2.0
I would agree to your statement if kore2 would cause the problem which
is not the case. How old a product is does not matters in this case.
If it would matter we could otherwise say midi is not supported
    because it's too old.

When Kore first came out this was more the case, but unfortunately more and more plugins are using a proprietary preset format these days. I can think of more that do not use the standard VST formats that Kore recognises than those that do. Of course this only applies to batch import anyway, Kore can import sounds from 99.9% of plugins (I only know of one that completely refuses to allow Kore to import presets from) if people are prepared to invest a little time into resaving presets 1 by 1 as Koresounds (best done after having made a controller template) - it's extra work but ultimately worth it as then you have them all tagged, searchable, and controllable via the hardware and don't need the mouse as much.

just to clarify, i have FXPansion's DCAM Synth Squad - non of the synths have the 'Import Plugin Presets' option. neither does Arturia's minimoog V.

regarding U-He, unless i am doing something wrong, i can only import one preset at a time. if Kore experts can show me a way to batch import all the ACE presets at once, i would be grateful.

i don't really use any other synths apart from the Komplete 9 ones, so the Kore third party import does not really work with any of my vstis

Did NI support say that? It's 2.5 yrs ago, not over 5 yrs ago.

Sometimes the AU version will allow batch import where the VST version won't or the other way around.

Yeah, there's no way to import Arturia presets - they use some weird format that doesn't even show up in the file system let alone as fxb. Rubbish preset management (SEM is a slight improvement in that it does have real presets - so hopefully they have learnt their lesson). I can't get them to show in the VST or AU for D-Cam either.

All u-he plugins use a proprietary format, although it is also possible to save patches as fxp files there is no bank format. For most plugins where the only option is to save one by one my approach generally is to be selective and only save my favourites or patches used as part of multisounds.

just wanted to say that i seem to have Kore 2 working inside Maschine 2.0 via jBridge (using both in 64 bit). there is a video over on Maschinemasters.com that shows how to bypass the plugin scan when opening Maschine 2.0 (which is necessary to prevent it from scanning the non-jBridged version of Kore). i haven't yet been able to test the deeper functionalities of Kore (as i am sadly still a routing novice), but presets open & macro knobs respond. i wish i could learn how to record automation from Kore into Maschine. that would be cool

In Maschine 1 and 2 : kore hw (attached to kore vst instances) or midi ctlrs are unuseful in automations !!
It is a good thing only for live or live audio recording
Finnally i think Kore hasn't big things to do in maschine , it looks for this kind of sequencer BUT NOT THIS ONE ....
Mpc software records kore hw tweaks that's sure......

    Very Bad News....
I like Kore 2 for tweaking many parameters of plugins with macrocontrols.
This big feature isn´t implemented in Maschine yet.
Oh oh my fine Kore 2 Packs.....can´t use them in Maschine 2.0?

You can use the Kore 2 packs in the Kore Player, the Kore Player works in Maschine 2.
Or you can run Maschine 2 in Kore 2 :)

I cannot believe that NI eliminate themselve through such a decision.
I am also use Kore 2 and M Mk2 and also Maschine 1&2 user.

Fact is, that Kore 2 runs in every Host (ecxept live??? Soon??? Correct me if i was wrong)
But why can i Use Reaper and Reason and Maschine 1/2 and Kore2 (also as Hosts) the same time in Studio One and connect them via Rewire? Do you see something?
Anyone wrotes you can use Kore 2 in M1 in M2 as Host in Host in Host... Is this right?

Did the Code of M2 prevent really the Import of a VST Instrument (2.4 based)?

What did Stephan Schmitt say to this destructive attitudes?

I know these are many questions, but they are legitimated!

But is it right to destroy your own Product? I don't think so.

    Regards
    A NI Instruments user... :/

I use it in Live - I'm not experiencing any problems in Live 9 (I only have the 32 bit installed though) - in fact for me it's the first time Kore has actually worked properly in Live in that Live finally, after many years of waiting, can record automation from Kore in the session view.
