True, Maschine fanboys were allowed to call us whiners and belittle us.

I'm not very surprised really. I realize this issue is now fixed..good for NI. I never updated my Maschine past 1.8 and I don't use it as "the center of my workflow" like many seem to do. In my studio Maschine is just another drum machine along with lots of other outboard equipment.
Just the simple concept that NI created Komplete Kontrol for only NI products signals a HUGE company philosophy change IMO. I think I was spoiled by Kore.

Yes. It's a philosophy change that's telling everyone that, if you use any other's plugins then don't expect our keyboard to work with them. It's rather like the spoiled child who, if the game is not going his way, takes his toys home.

Ohh nooo.... I use Kore very often and use Maschine very often too!
I like Kore 2 but can understand that they need more Manpower for Maschine .
The last Kore 2.14 runs fine in Maschine 2.15.

I just had a fail with the kore usb driver 310 the service center hasn´t installed it right.
I installed it out of the download directory and it worked.
    Maybe it´s the same problem.

I think that NI will update Komplete Kontrol to work with 3rd Party.
The same were with Kore 1 ......now I can use Kore 1 as a Midi Controller with Cubase.
On release before 8 Years that wasn´t possible!
And NI did a great Job to release 64Bit Drivers for Kore 1 Audio in 2013!
No other Company did that to a product thas was out of lifecycle....

They did it because THEY prematurely put Kore 'out of lifecycle'. It wasn't an old product; it was a product that was still being sold as 'the centre of your studio' not long before they killed it. There were many people who had Kore within warrantee when it was dumped. They did it to lessen the ****-storm that they knew would come if they didn't go a little way towards placating the serious users - especially those with a twitchy legal finger. So, not a 'great job' at all; it was an exercise in 'mitigation before litigation'.

Edit.... And Kore 1 was sold as being 'universal'. That's what attracted me to it.

But you can use Kore 2.14 in every way . It is running fine.
They gave us 3 Expansion packs for free to lessen the ****-storm.
I use these 3 expansions nowadays very often (Acoustic Refractions/Sonic Fiction mostly) .
There is no other plugin that can handle so much macros for controls.
It is a bit sad that Kore isn´t updated but I use Komplete 10U and Maschine for every day work.
For me these products are very good, but you must learn it to use it!
Many don´t understand that Maschine isn´t just a drum maschine....

You can't use it "in every way" because NI are doing their level best to make their own products incompatible with it. I use it less and less because I'm always wondering when an upgrade to my OS or Cubase will break it. I put so much work in, I have little enthusiasm to add more. I even thought about 'freezing' a machine to keep Kore on - until I realised that I would have to have multiple copies of synths to do this (or only have Kore-dependant synths only on the frozen machine).

I understand your point that Maschine isn't just a drum machine but, for me, it's far too little of anything else. And I wouldn't want to have to pay good money for the many bits that ARE drum machine :)
