    Hallo marshmellow,

    bye _marshMellow

Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to program your own xml for these? I would love to create a midi map for my Axiom that controls both cubase and Kore simultaneously...

KORE 2 Controller stops sending info to Live

i am just getting into controllong Live 8 w the Kore 2 controller. I am using the Mackie Control template. Simply becuase it WAS working. Will these Templates work with Kore 2 controller. Also About 10 mins into mysession The controller stops sending to the Live. I can still access multiple instances of Kore. I can control completely. But when going back to Midi mode I can see that the incoming midi signal in the Live screen shows no activity. If I restart Ableton Live it works again. for a while. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Hi kspssd,

i have the same problem like you post it.

Do you solve already this problem? Maybe you have an advice for me!

Hope to hear from you soon!

    Kind regards

    Hallo marshMellow,

Problem gone but reason is unknown

I wish I had a good reason but, I have not seen this issue for a long time now. It seem to work OK. The problem I have now is ..when in LIVE I use my Kore 2 controller to first NAV, then BRW as soon as I select Enter ...LIVE will shut down. I have to then restart. This happens at least 75% of the time. Sorry I have no other info for the previously mentioned problems

    Hi!
Please, who is knows, is it possible to make additional custom pages to Mackie Universal template (Kore 2 hardware) for MIDI CC remote commands? my Kore 2 controller connected to Reaper as a MCU surface

Hi all. Just noticed this thread, and I'm not sure if anyone's asked about this, but just in case... here is my setup to use a Kore hardware unit as a pretty full-featured control surface for Sonar X1, as posted in the Sonar forum a while back.

    Detailed install notes are here:
    http://subtlearts.com/korex1/Kore_X1_control_install_notes.pdf

and usage notes (not really a manual) here:
    http://subtlearts.com/korex1/Kore_X1_control_usage_notes.pdf

the two files you'll need are linked from the Install document, or just snag them here:

    http://subtlearts.com/korex1/SonarX1.nck
    http://subtlearts.com/kor..X1_ACT_presets_Kore.spp

It's a bit complex to set up, since there's no native support on either side and the two interpretations of the 'Mackie Control' emulation mode are sufficiently different to make it unusable. So I've built it up from scratch using a custom template on the Kore side and a pair of custom ACT presets on the Sonar side. I've tried to make the notes as clear as I can...

Good luck, I hope it works and helps improve your Kore / X1 experience!

    Thanks!

BTW, have you managed to have the ACTs active after starting Sonar? It still doesn't work with my Sonar ACTs, i still have to load the ACT presets once after starting Sonar...

Hmmm. Nope, they persist here, two different machines, two different OS's. They lose their mappings if I start Sonar without the contoller connected, and I have to re-map them, but otherwise it all just works when I fire it up, and I never have to re-load the presets. As far as I know I've never done anything specific to make this happen, either. Not sure what to suggest, sorry!

    heho !
is there maybe a chance to get a reason-6-kontrol-template please ?
because the recordkontrol doesn't work properly anymore, just the transports and the combinator, but not the channel control (any suggestions why ?)
i would be very happy for a new template or someone telling me how to configure one on my own !

    Massive template

    Hi everybody,
I like to share with you a Kore 2 Controller Editor template I made for Massive.
So, here we go: On "Controller Editor.app" open the file "Massive.nck" that I send you. Then open "Massive.app" go to File > Options > MIDI Setup Tab and load the file "Kore Controller 2.mca" that I send you. That's all!
    I hope you'll enjoy it!

    Track names on Kore's LCD

Does anyone know if there is a way to get Kore to display the actual track names on its LCD when using it as a Mackie control? I searched the net but didn't find an answer. Thanks a lot.

This is another way to control Ableton Live...

    http://vimeo.com/35964968

    It is possible to
assign Kore buttons to play clips (if you don't have Maschine, kbd or pads)
make koresound including Live effects !
You can trig the scenes or use Live like a sampler with velocity

Here i just use the mix and play with the crossfader.

It's stable.. i will try this kpe with maschine this week-end :)

I use Bidule plug in to render that possible.

Sorry there is no sound the video capture demo software doesn't record asio.....

    E-MU E4 Ultra Template

    Hi all,

I've thrown together a simple template to control my E-MU E4XT Ultra via MIDI, but it should also work with E6400/E5000 Ultras and perhaps even the E4 Classic series samplers. To use this patch you will need to make certain that your MIDI controllers are set up correctly. To do this, press 'Master' -> 'F6' -> 'F3' and set MidiA - MidiK to cc21 through cc31. Set MidiL to cc34. Press Exit three times and you're done.

The patch works on Channels 1-5; you can easily add more by duplicating the pages and changing the channel number. The layout is simple:

    - The 8 knobs control MidiA through MidiH, and the four bottom buttons toggle MidiI through MidiL. You can easily map these as sources in your E4 patch cords to control destinations like Filter Frequency, Filter Resonance, LFO Rate, etc.
    - The top left button is a MIDI panic ('All Sounds Off') trigger that kills the channel's active voices and controllers.
    - The top two right-hand buttons act as a gate (channel volume to 0 when pressed, 127 when released) and a pedal for those who don't have a hardware pedal. Keep in mind you will need to map the Pedal source to a KeySust destination in the E4 patch cords if you want it to act as a typical pedal sustain action.
    - The volume button is a mute toggle for Channel 1 only, since it is a global value button.
    - The jog wheel changes the active preset on Channel 1; the four buttons around the jog wheel (Control, Sound, Enter, Esc) change the active presets on Channels 2 - 5.
    - The pedal and foot switch input jacks have been changed to reflect the correct default parameters of the E4 for pedal and foot switch actions

Hope this will be of help to some people who still cling to their old hardware samplers :) If there is any feedback, let me know; I would have liked to have included more functionality, but since Kore can't send SysEx, the options are limited.

Note: This template could theoretically be used to control Emulator X as well, if you map the MIDI controllers to the correct CC values. However, it would probably be easier to create a template in Kore itself if you want to retain the ability to use another MIDI hardware controller/keyboard. I may do this when I have some time.

So what does it take for a MIDI template to get posted here? I tried to upload one days ago and it still hasn't been approved by a moderator.

Probably easiest to just post a zip link, rather than relying on NI for anything.

Thanks to Keir for approving the post, which you can now see above. I've created another more comprehensive template for Traktor 2 which I will post up shortly as well.
