Kore 2 Player Kontakt Sax & Brass isn't shown

Hi,

I recently got myself the Sax & Brass Soundpack via the Komplete 7 Elements Voucher, but after I installed it the Kore Player does not show the pack or any of the sounds.... I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the player and the pack several times over but it wouldn't do any good. Seemingly the Kore 2 Player doesn't change anything about it's database 'cause it actually does show some old soundpacks I had uninstalled trying to fix the problem.

So it shows some packs that aren't there and does not show my new one...

any suggestions what could help ?

1) Have you activated the pack?
2) If you have, you can try fixing it like this. On a Windows system, go to (turn on "show hidden files and folders":
XP:
Documents and Settings\*your user account*\Local Settings\Application Data\Native Instruments\Kore Player
Vista/W7:
Users\*your user account*\AppData\Local\Native Instruments\Kore Player

On a Mac:
User/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kore Player

Trash koredb. koredbLock and SoundPacks.cache. Reboot your system and start up the player as a standalone. Done.

Question about Sax and Brass

The band I play with does a lot of oldies. I need to play horn parts for songs like Soulman, Hold On (I'm comin') , Midnight Hour etc. Not sure if you know those tunes but If you do... can you tell me if the sound in this product would cover those types of horn sounds. From what I read in other post it is more towards the Big Band kind of sound. Not really a soul feel. Any comments are welcome

I don't understand what im supposed to do here, I'm having the same problem on a mac.. but when i navigate into those folders i dont see what it is i have to do next..
you say trash koredb..etc.. but i dont see any of that.. is there any other solution to this problem..

Anyway......

I find there's a large scope in Sax & Brass. I'm not sure if you know what it is (and please forgive me if this sounds in any way patronising - it's just that I'd rather give info that's not needed rather than miss info that is). It's not a loop or phrase library - it's a player's tool. Because of this, it can be 'bent' to virtually any form of music - though, having said that, the 'band' ensembles DO tend to lean towards 'Big Band' feel.

I've used it (sparingly) in a folky type piece and (more normally in a thing that veers (dangerously) close to prog rock.

 

yea i need some help here, im a bit irritated that these sounds arent showing up yet. I hit up technical support, its been two weeks and still no response. anybody....?

EW, I have the same problem but am using Kontakt Player on a Mac. Will this work the same way? Which files will have to be trashed here?
Any help will be highly appreciated!

The Kontakt player has nothing to do with Sax and Brass; as far as I know, that won't show up as a library there (it doesn't here with the full Kontakt 4).

The product's name is Kontakt Sax & Brass, that's why I thought it will be a library in Kontakt. Will try the Kore player later today.

It's called Kontakt Sax and Brass because it's a selection from the Kontakt factory library (Kontakt 3 in this case(.
