...thanks a lot. For this price this is actually a no-brainer - REALLY hoping it will be working right from the start!!!

Sorry loachm, we should not hope that a product we paid for works from the beginnig, i would EXPECT that. by the way, we still dont know if there will be a final update for KORE 1 that fixes bugs and if there will be an update of the audio driver of the Kore 1 Interface that fixes known probs with turion machines.

    Re: Kore 2... Super Instrument?

    Hi guys,

Doesn't it look like NI did away with the ability to open individual plugin interfaces for editing like you could in V1? Or am I over looking something? I know they have integrated the engines of "REAKTOR 5, MASSIVE, ABSYNTH 4, FM8, KONTAKT 2 and GUITAR RIG 2"... but what about other instruments such as B4II, etc? Is NI turning Kore into more of a "super instrument" rather than what it seemed like the original vision was... kinda like a control center for all your plugs and effects? What do you think?

...that's right - but when have you bought software recently that did?

Unfortunately, the software market seems to have its own rules (and NI isn't something like a black sheep - there are others, too).
I am quite happy with the latest Kontakt update, but I would have been even more happy if it would have worked that way when I received Kontakt two years ago.
Personally, I have stopped expecting anything from NI - I have more or less working gear (btw most of it coming from NI), I know its flaws and I can find workarounds most of the time, but I will only buy something if the price is right - like recently Kore with a free update to Komplete 4.
Kore 2 looks really good and in fact, I would have expected its enhancements for the database already in v.1 - so I am really looking forward to it. I would have expected the upgrade price even higher than it will be (thought about 99€, would have also been O.K.), so there's no discussion that I'll buy it - but actually rather because of the fact that the price seems to be right and hoping that its flaws won't be too frustrating and not because NI has convinced me with their reliability.
NI is still one of the best music software manufacturers out there, but one has to be careful what to buy from them. I was very unsure about buying Kore 1, but their offer was tempting and with the v.1.1 update the risk seemed to be minor.

Btw - have I mentioned that Kore 1 works perfectly here. :D. I guess, I have just been lucky and I hope I'll be again in July - if not entirely, then at least it won't hurt my wallet too much...

    im with the rest!
if it wasnt for us kore 1 beta testers NI would not even have a KORE 2 (i feel when companies excercise this type of buis. practice , they treat the user like stupid ****in assholes who cant see how there being ****ed!)
we should at least get free updated software wich ill bet is NOT fully functionable with KORE 1 (just going by there track record!)
but of course me saying this in here will prob result in hang ups etc. from tech support. or threats as ewi once did to me.i will say that i have had some awsome people at NI have gone above and beyond in the past to make sure i was taken care of! this shows me that there are some on the inside who hears our concerns.

blablabla... to develop software, costs a lot of money. So no, 49 euros is not a lot money for the software upgrade. And i reckon that for every one of us where Kore 1 didn't work as expected, there are at least a couple of hundred customers for who it DOES work perfectly.
I learned to stop whining and love the bomb....er...Kore.

Afaik all the Korg Legacy plugins have pages already setup for them by default in Kore2 so you should be able to just use those and import their sounds straight into KORE.

    Hi Steve,

I had good intentions, but the past few months have been crazy for me. My equipment has been in storage while we've been waiting for the construction of our new house. We just started moving in, so hopefully I should be able to get to it in a week or so. Since there are people interested I'll be sure to expedite. ;-)

    Thanks,
    Rob

This is correct. What I was doing (way back with Kore 1) was adding the tags to make finding Wavestation sounds easier with the sound browser.
