Kore 3 dreams

Hi,

I've been thinking of a possible improvement for the next Kore generation. In my dreams, this new version would allow an increased interconnectivity between the available NI synthesizers and plugins. For instance, we can think of a Kore performance involving a Massive and a ABsynth where the performer of the Massive would modulate a specific parameter of the ABsynth. We can also suggest a performance with several Massive set up with performers only, all modulating the chosen parameters of the first one used as the main synthesizer thus not limited to only 4 performers. That would greatly increase the possibilities of sound design. The reason-like environment could also be generalized to all plug-ins then initiating a new VST-protocol allowing cv-like signals to be sent amongst plugins. What do you think ?

well, it looks like you do not have dreams like mine ! strange !

 

I've thought of that myself. A year or so before Kore was released, they had a survey asking about what we'd like to see as future products; what I proposed was an app like Kore but with all the individual oscillators, filters, etc. available as separate components if desired.

I'd like to be able to use the performers elsewhere- MIDI out for all the mod sources in Massive would be cool.

i dream of being able to modulate everything inside Kore 2(all pluginparameters,soundvariations,fx,mixer,whatever)with Maschine in a future update.
then i can finally do in REALTIME what i still can't do in Ableton(regarding clip envelopes)

please make it happen!Kore 2 and Maschine make controlling software feel like controlling hardware devices,and huge fun!

Sure- you're seeing part of it with Kore the way it sits. As to the other part, it would take recoding everything from the ground up- not too likely. About the easiest way to accomplish that would be to put simplified components of everything into an updated Reaktor, to be honest.
