Kore and the Kontakt Server

Yeah, when I try and load Kontakt into Kore, it tells me there is a version mismatch, and Kore only opens Kontakt 4.0.5 even though I've got 4.1 installed. What's the issue here? We need a Kore update now?

 

Yep- the IE versions and the full version plugins are out of sync. You can copy the Kontakt 4.1 .dlls to your Kore plugins folder; that's how I resolve the issue at least. On a PC:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kore 2\Plugins.

I'm getting no sound from Kontakt inside Kore, is this a problem related with the update? In standalone mode everything works fine, and even inside Kore everything is working fine with Kontakt, I can see the levels in the output chennel, but nothing comes out in Kore.
Anyone is having the same problem?
I already copied the new .dlls to the plugins folder of Kore in common files as EW suggests but still no sound.

why does the kontakt setup not install the dll into the kore folder? maybe its not tested yet by NI and not yet save to use in a live situation? any statement from NI?

it does now load my existing performance with Kontakt 3.5 instead of 4.1

Already solved, thanks for your help. I guess I made some kind of mistake while installing, don't know what but after re-installing some times I managed to get it to work.

 

On the Mac side of things, there is not a .DLL file to be copied. NI needs to address the problem and fix the in-compatibility issue.

Yeah- but instead there's a VST component. Same difference, and same fix.

Now that I'll agree with. I'd like to see the IE plugins updated with the main app update myself.

Yes, same fix works. Per Tech Support, I copied the VST to the Kore plug-in directory and I have had not further problems. Thanks, CS.

 

can you please give me the exact name of the folder moved and also rhe path to find the folder.

here the unofficial workaround for you:

Please copy the VST Versions of Kontakt 4.1 from Macintosh HD\Library\Audio\Plug
Ins\VST

into

Macintosh HD\Library\Application Support\Native Instruments\Kore 2\Plug Ins

and say "replace" if prompted.
