I hope someone can toss me a bone. EW is absent, and USA phone support doesn't know.

    Kore2
    Windows 7 (64 bit)
    Cubase 5 (32bit)

Stand alone: When I open Kore and load for an example, Urban Arsonal2, then choose a drum kit everything works perfect!

Cubase 5: When I open Kore as a VST, then open Urban Arsonal2, chose a kit, I get the "missing files" box. I then direct it to the right place and then everything loads fine. But then if I choose another kit or sound in Urban Arsonal2 I get the "missing files" box again. For some reason, even though I have pointed Kore to the right places where my samples are located, it won't remember.

Why would this work fine in stand alone mode, but not as a VST in Cubase?

I have tried trashing not only the koresoundpacksDB file, but the koreDB file and let it rebuild with no luck.

I'm about ready to do re-installs of Urban and Kore...if I can't find a better solution because the complete re-installs did fix my problem with Urban...just a month ago.

I'm frustrated. This is a main reason why Kore died. The NI file structure inside my PC is a total mess. NI files in user, common, shared, public, and no consistency. The Kore free compilation packs 1 and 2 are even in different places.

After spending hours I got lucky and discovered the issue.

In the options tab I found that I had to "reset" the path. The path did read correctly but apparently it was never set! When it hit the SET button, then it reset and works fine.

Why Kore worked correctly in stand-alone but not as a VST I have no clue.

Once again, I have wasted hours with a Kore issue.
