Kore Controller - No midi in Studio One

    Hello from Germany,

    here are the facts:

    1. I install the newest driver 3.x

    2. Win 7 (64bit) tells, that the driver hasn't been installed ("Kore 2 Controller has been removed") - but that "Kore 2 midi" would be able to use. (?)

    3. In the device manager, there are listed: "Kore 2 midi" (audio controller) and "Kore 2 controller" (USB controller)

    4. Presonus Studio One (64bit) doesn't receive midi from the Kore 2 controller and I can only choose "NI Kore 2 Midi In emulated" and "NI Kore 2 Midi Out emulated".

I hope anyone can help, because I'm rather puzzled.

    Thanks!

    If you mean this bug:

    http://forums.presonus.com/posts/list/6854.page

it's been fixed in S1 1.6.4 - just check "Ignore audio device timestamps" in advanced audio options

It always says emulated but you can select it and it should work now

Hi and thanks for your quick reply!

This option doesn't help, unfortunately. :(

I have the Kore 2 Controller, should've mentioned that in the title...

EDIT: The Controller also doesn't work with the standalone Kore Player (although I can choose the controller as midi device), so it won't be a problem of Studio One. What about that strange installation behaviour? Which devices should appear in the device manager?

EDIT2: OK, it does some strange things in mackie-mode now. In Kore Player Standalone, it plays notes when touching the knobs - but hey, midi action after all! ;) In S1, I can see "Note on"-commands when touching, but hear nothing. And after pushing F1 in order to control the Kore Player, there is no more midi action left.

It does sound similar to the bug I reported - I too could see midi information being created in S1 but it was not being passed to an instrument to make a sound. The fix I posted worked though - do you have the 1.6.4 version of Studio One and have you made sure to deselect the option to "Use legacy midi instead of direct music" as that also makes the sound not work. Try also toggling the "Ignore MIDI time stamps" in advanced/midi

    Hi Kymeia,

I have the newest version 1.6.4 of S1.

The legacy option is already deselected (standard) and the timestamp things don't help. As I said, the Controller also doesn't work with the standalone version of Kore Player. What about that strange installation process?
