Latest W10 version here, I actually also get a hang after replacing that patch with an effect. Hmm.

I don't think that even if you report it NI would do something to patch up Kore... it is what it is at this point. Soon enough if even compatibility mode fails, those who want to keep using Kore would need to have a separate machine for it with one of those "vintage" operating systems that will be happy to run it without fail :D

In fact, for a discontinued application, Kore has been superbly resilient... particularly on Mac, considering how Apple likes to break things in updates.

I never had to use compatibility mode for audio software, but I have a lot of experience with it in PC gaming. I see it as one of the best features in Windows, it's really there to help and isn't known to cause instability. If that's the only thing needed to fix Kore issues, and it doesn't seem to interfere with anything else in the program, personally I'd only need a few trouble-free sessions to forget that it's even there.

OK I need to update this thread now.

I've updated to W10 Creators Update and to me it seems that Deep Freq isn't causing any more hangs/crashes, even with compatibility mode disabled. So that's good news, I hope for arachnaut as well.
