    hey guys.
i got the kore a month back after it was discontinued...cause most of my friends loved it..anyway..i was about to install it....and i had about 100 gigs on my macbook....but i wanna leave that space...because logic keeps complaining of less processing ability and my playback keeps stopin...so i wanted to ask if its okay if i can install the komplete six upgrade and the kore on on external hard drive....would it be slower and screw up my work flow? please help!
    thanks,
    vig

My Logic 9 doesn't mind if I have only 4 gig of space left on my harddrive but I have all my samples on an external firewire 400 drive, including Logic's samples and Apple loops. Maybe it makes Logic faster to have the program on the main HD and samples on the external? Logic doesn't like it that I only have 4GB of Ram (iMac 2008, can't upgrade RAM beyond 4GB :p).

Anyways, as long as I don't use too many instruments like Abbey Road drums at the same time my setup works fine.

It depends on what you do with Kore. If you load three koresounds using multiple plugins you use the cpu for 10 plugins for just three sounds :)

You can just move all your samples and loops to your external HD. You have to rebuild your loop library, Logic finds the samples on its own.
