I've been busy making templates for all my synths - a few are yet to complete or too complicated for this to work (e.g. Zebra). I have concentrated with these on making performance templates - I have no wish to map every single parameter but rather I have selected the params I find I use the most when playing realtime - such as Rhino or Komplexor's macro's or easy edit pages etc. Synths included are:

    CamelAudio Cameleon
    ReFX Claw
    GrooveCube Exciton
    Foorius
    Terratec Komplexer
    FXPansion Orca
    Virsyn Poseidon
    Arturia Prophet V
    Rhino 2
    Ohmforce Symptohm Melohman
    Sytrus 2.5
DiscoDSP Discovery 2 and Vertigo 2
    uhe Zebralette

Some I released before but now all in one bundle :)

Here's one for VirSyn's CUBE. It's seven pages- two pages for the sources (ensemble, spread, rate and depth for A and B in one, and the same for C and D in the next), three effects pages (distortion, phaser/chorus/flanger and delay- you can't map the reverb parameters), one for the arp and EQ, and the other handling all the rest such as velocity, number of partials, etc.

Basically anything that can be mapped through user pages is. Plus, you get a cool CUBE patch from me to boot =)

For Kore 2- this won't work in Kore 1.

    Get it here

Thanks for that, Eric. I'll nab that as soon as Kore 2 arrives (today maybe?) :D

    Not a problem, Chris.

You'll run into issues with importing CUBE banks, though; the patches will all have the first patch's name. They import correctly, but the name doesn't update. They're working on a fix...

I had a similar problem with WusikStation 4. The presets had the correct name, but the first preset parameters and sounds were loaded in all the presets. Also a total of 512 presets were imported although the bank (not really a bank - a directory with Wusik presets) only had 95 entries.

Any fixes possible from the Kore side?

Hmm... I'm still on Wusik2 (actually Manystation). I'm wondering whether William's converter will work with that.

What you're describing is something completely different; what you're talking about is the edit buffer not clearing and updating with each new preset. A similar thing happens with user banks (not the factory default bank) and TERA- another VirSyn product. It's being looked into.

And another VirSyn one from me; this one for POSEIDON.
Twelve pages mapped in a more logical method; it includes separate pages for each effect and the like.
Virtually anything that can be mapped is.

And once again, you get a cool patch from me to boot :)

    You can get it here.

I've added Zebra 2 to the synthpack now - tricky decision to make about this. Since it's a modular so far I've adopted a one page per module approach but since it has 4 oscs and tons of filters it has taken 10 pages just to model those and since the automatable limit is 8 pages I'm wondering whether it's worth it to continue. Also I still haven't done the Comb filters as each of those would take 2 pages and ideally I'd like to prioritise the 8 most useful controls so I can get them onto one page each but having to think about which ones to use - any suggestions?

ps this is still KORE 1 as my KORE 2 still hasn't arrived :(

I've finished with the Zebra 2 ksd at 27 pages !

All the oscs and filters are now mapped to KORE controls inc the FM oscs, COMB and XMF filters - most on 1 or 2 pages apiece. Where possible I've also added in modulation assignments as well. I left out very little but some just don't seem to be assignable such as "Keyscale" and a few other osc functions as well as most buttons.

    Download from here:

    http://www.fingermarks.co.uk/music/Zebra2.ksd

and I've also added the updated file to the Synthpack now it's finished.

    http://www.fingermarks.co.uk/music/KORE_Synth_Pack.zip

I could go on and do all the other modules but there's a limit to how practicable this would be with dozens of pages and in hosts only the 8 first pages are automatable anyway so bear this in mind - you may need to rearrange the page order for some patches to be fully automatable. I've laid out the page order the way it appears in Zebra's matrix but the order can be changed easily enough and saved as a new patch so it can be called up again for a particular project.

I've found a registry hack that enables me to load the additional default banks for Tone 2 Firebird + into KORE 2 and since it can now convert patches to KORESounds I've done this for all the default banks (A, B and C) so Firebird owners can use it more easily in KORE. Each Sound has the hardware controller mappings set up and they are also tagged and categorised for easy searching.

I can't believe now we have at least limited import facilities no one has added to this thread. C'mon - there must be people making templates and KORESounds for third party VST's other than me and EW?

Don't just keep them to yourselves.

I'd love to see some more fx vst's particularly getting mapped.

Hi all. I spent some time mapping presets for Rob Papen's Predator. I created a user template with 15 pages controlling pretty much everything aside for FX, and also imported all of the factory preset banks including the ones in 1.1 and 1.1b. The preset banks include some *very* basic categorization based on bank genre and patch title, I'll gradually work on refining these and perhaps post up a more completely categorized version some day.

    Sample Predator KSD
    All Predator factory presets

Also, keep in mind the known issue with predator discussed elsewhere on the forum that you need to select the patch twice for it to get the right bank selected.

I'm a new kore user, so apologies in advance if I mucked something up in the process!

That's very cool thanks - even though I don't personally have this I know how much work is involved in a complex synth like this.

I've started doing templates for some effects now. Starting with the CamelAudio PhatSpace bundle - I've made complete templates for CamelPhat 3 and CamelSpace. They have several pages mapped to KORE hardware knobs and buttons and I've mapped everything that can be mapped basically in as logical an order as I could,

    http://www.fingermarks.co.uk/music/CamelSpace_FX_K ore2.zip

I've also done the default user library but am holding back from posting it till I have CamelAudio's permission (as I'm not certain if the demo doesn't have less patches - don't want to be giving them all away if so)

btw I do the same thing with categorisation - its not perfect but you can go along way by tagging most banks on the basis of preset title (bass, arp, pad etc) and often also the designer of the bank (e.g. if its Vengeance its likely to be dance oriented). You can make a lot of broad decisions about tags before you do the first import and then refine it down at your leisure. Saves a lot of time that way and it means they are fully searchable from the start.

i have a question for you guys about koresounds. long before i bought kore i was kontakt2 user. i have made various kontakt2 instruments which i have completely sampled myself (mostly drums). I have them designed as kontakt2 instruments. I brought the instruments over into kore2 and mapped out all the handy parameters for my instruments on user pages within kore2. Ok so i can play my kontakt drum machine in kore now and tweak to my hearts content. SWEET!
    but....
i want to share these instruments i have made with you guys. I know i can share them with other kontakt users no problem. but is there a way for me to save these monoliths i have made in kontakt so that KORE users who dont ownt kontakt can share in the fun ? i understand that kontakts sound engine is hiding within kore somewhere. but how would someone that doesnt own kontakt access my .ksd that was derived from a kontakt monolith ?
i know users of koresoundpacks can do it without owning the full programs. like im using the reaktor soundpack but dont own reaktor. so i think this would be possible unless its a limitation in kore so that we have to directly buy the soundpacks from NI.

if it isnt possible i still plan on making my kontakt instruments available and i will post the kore sounds but its kinda a bummer for anyone that doesnt own kontakt.

can anyone enlighten me a little ?

You have to have the full plugin version to load non-NI created .ksds for the NI plugins. And, saving your Kontakt patches as monoliths and putting them up's redistribution of the samples inside; that's illegal.

I own the samples inside as i sampled them and made all these instruments entirely myself. Dont see how thats illegal in any way. Im not talking about using stuff that came with kontakt. im talking about samples i recorded and made instruments with myself, how is this illegal if i am the original owner and creator of the samples? the whole point of me making them as monoliths is so that people cant easily steal my original samples. I dont see that im redistributing anything as i am the creator. sorta like puremagnetik does with their micropack and like what otto von did with otto. Im a professional sound designer and i know about redistribution, and im a little offended in the fact that you assume that i would be stealing samples and redistributing them when i specificly say in the above post "i have made various kontakt2 instruments which i have completely sampled myself". I have better things to do with my time than rip others off. I hope you misread my post as i am just wanting to share my creations with others.
