You are not doing anything illegal. Eric just misread your post. Btw, the monolith format won't protect your samples. People can always save as Instrument+samples.
that what i was thinking. sorry if i caused any confusion. I will share with you guys asap. i was just hoping that with the new free kore player that i would be able to share my instruments with a broader audience, because the kore player is free and kontakt isnt.
Yeah, I misread it- sorry. I could have sworn that the post originally said you'd made new instruments out of the Kontakt factory library, and not that you'd sampled your own... ew
ah, no worries. i couldn't imagine being the mod of this board, it must be a full time job. but thanks for the quick reply.
I've updated my Tera 3 template for use with Native Instruments KORE 2. The original one was very minimal - just the filters mainly as I found it a bit daunting to attempt the whole synth. I still haven't mapped every single parameter which would extend to many pages but have tried to map the most important ones for usability. It can be downloaded from here: http://www.fingermarks.co.uk/music/VirsynTera3.zip I notice Sound import is still broken for Tera though (seems to be working now for Cube at least) but this can at least be used to play it using the KORE hardware.
I just wanted to say Thank You to all who supply us with Kore patches. Your work is incredibly useful for me. I lack the time to do what you do, and I really appreciate your efforts.
Hi Chad - just a question but how usable is a 21+ page Rapture template when it comes to automation? My understanding is only the first 8 pages are automatable. This is one thing that has held me back from making patches for synths like Tera that would require more than 8 pages to map everything. Instead in most cases I've opted to rationalise the mappings to the most usable in a realtime playing context. The exception was Zebra but there's a key difference with Zebra - it's modular - so what I did was create one page (2 in a couple of cases for complex modules) per module. This means the user can select which modules they are using per patch and the corresponding pre mapped KORE pages for each and move their position so the first 8 are prioritised (their choice). I can't see that being so easy in a non or semi modular though like Rapture or Tera.
KoreSounds for Korg Wavestation Presets This might be of interest for KORE and WAVESTATION users. I tagged all 900 presets with attributes using Kore 1.1. The names of the WAVESTATION patches can be pretty non-helpful and the banks are rather random, so I found this to be a big help for me. I may do this with other Korg VSTi's in the future. To download, click here: http://rob.walstrom.ws/downloads/ws_ksd_pack.zip Anyhow, these were made with Kore 1.1 but I am told they should work in Kore 2. I just installed Kore 2 a half hour ago and noticed there are what look to be "sub tags" for some of the older categories. If I get adventurous I may do that in the near future, but so much has changed I'll need to devote a couple hours to learn my way around Kore 2. Enjoy!
That's a lot of work there- I'm sure others will appreciate it =) However, I'm going to merge this thread with the existing Kore sound thread. When'd you move to Cedar Rapids? Going to school there? ew
Thanks ew. Indeed, I started this a while ago and was ready to release them but then 1.1 came out. Took me a while to get back to converting them all to SingleSounds. I moved to Cedar Rapids in September of last year. Both mine and my future wife's family are down here, that was the main reason. We do miss the Twin Cities quite a bit though...
I've made a template for Anamark that covers most of the more useful params for live tweaking. http://www.fingermarks.co.uk/music/anamark.zip I have also been able to convert all of the factory banks to KORE Sounds (just basic conversion, no attributes) which actually makes changing patches rather simpler than using Anamark's built in browser which is a bit clunky (e.g. no more need to overwrite the previous bank just to load a new one). However I won't post those unless the dev gives the Ok - not sure if they are all there in the demo version.
Audjoo Helix Has anyone by chance made a cool Kore sound with some nice mappings to Helix that they wouldn't mind sharing? --- Also, has anyone done any patches for EWQLSO? I own those samples, but it would be a big job to set up Kore sounds for all of those.
I've thought about it but while it's in beta there's probably not much point till the final feature set has stabilised otherwise it might need to be redone again in a few months.
Any Virsyn Poseidon owners who also have NI KORE or KORE 2 might want to check out the Virsyn forums as I have converted all the presets in the factory bank to KORE Sounds with full attributes, patch notes and hardware mappings (based on the template posted in this thread by EW). I have also begun converting the addon banks and third party banks too.
Chad@PA There seems to be some error at the patch site. I tried to down load it but for some reason it keeps coming up with an error.
Audjoo Helix Kore Sound (.KSD) For U So I created a Kore Sound for Aujoo Helix. It contains reasonably organized user pages for every parameter of this synth. Download it here: https://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01Ic0x5Tk0yWGMwTVE9PQ The only ones I didn't do are the CC section, which I figured would probably not be useful. I also haven't mapped the routing matrix either. I haven't thought about that yet. This Kore Sound makes playing with Helix really fun! If you have any improvements, suggestions, or changes, please pass them along. I know that this synth is a beta and subject to change. But even production software changes too. Besides, this synth as is is amazing. I know ew will prolly move this thread to the "Kore Patches" thread, but I wanted to post here to let more people see it. EW, if I shouldn't do that in the future, just lemme know. Doing this is a great way to understand the synths with which you're working, and also a great way to better understand Kore. Thanks!
Thanks for doing this. Why not do both --- Just had a look at this - had to download Helix too as I hadn't tried it for a while. Is it possible to actually load patches for Helix in KORE? I couldn't see how. Lots of params there - must have taken ages. One tip I would make is maybe a couple of Easy edit pages with the key params for fast performance tweaks might be useful - people wanting to do more complex things can still use the fuller pages.
Indeed. Put something in the Kore patches thread if you wish, and I'll leave this here. Otherwise, I'll move it. ew
This Rapture Template was created for the intentions of sound design and live performance. It's really nice being able to control parameters across the multiple Elements without using the mouse or hot keys to tab over. Once I'm finished working on this template maybe we can work towards making one that focuses more on sequencing with Rapture. --- Hey Terry, The downloads section has moved you can find it here: http://www.patcharena.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=61&func=fileinfo&id=606
