Hi, i've searched over the forum about this problem but seems that all the threads are dated and don't bring to an effective solution from NI.

I've a macbook pro and when i power-on my laptop with Kore soundcard connected to the usb port, a big noise is going through the speakers, in both the situation when i connect it directly to the usb port or via a powered usb hub. No differences.

That's a well know problem since years, infact i had it since the first day that i had kore1 controller.
Yep, the right workaround is to keep speakers off and connect kore after the laptop startup and the power up the speakers.
But for what i paid i don't think that's a good thing this, as my other soundcard, a motu828mk2 is dreaming to do a similar behaviour.

BTW, there's another big problem, when i'm using my sequencer sometimes happen that a bigger noise, and worst than the power up noise, comes out from the speakers!

Yesterday i was doing a mixing with sustained volume, and i got almost an infarct!
A big noise was almost damaging my speakers and my ears!

That's something never happened with the other sound cards that i have!

Then i've noticed that respect to my motu828mk2, when i open the same track with the Kore1 audio soundcard, the cpu load is really bigger than the cpu load that comes when i use the motu828mk2.
I got all that audio crackles in the output with the Kore1 audiocard a lot before than the same thing happen with the 828.

In substance i used the kore soundcard successfully only with Traktor, but with the other softwares and daws it was really unuseable.

I'm really disappointed with NI about this product, the hardware side of course, not the kore software, and now i know why NI placed away the soundcard from the kore controller.

I've exactly the same problem few years ago, the only solution it's to send your Kore 1 kontroller to the N.I support, and to explain the problem... the company will remplace your defective hardware. Just more few words to N.I: I hope the Kore third generation will be perfect in the hardware & software part. Happy xmas ! M

Ok, in the meantime i've tried to use my kore1 controller with the kore2 software and this brang out other new problems.
I've just did a Snow Leopard OSX fresh install, so the system is clean, i've installed kore and maschine and now with kore i'm experiencing problems that with a video can be explained better:

    http://vectoraster.it/video/kore/kore.html

Here's the explaination taken from the video page:

From the video you can see that in the first time i'm only touching the knobs and the touch focus is almost well working, then i'm going to move a single knob and you can see that also if i'm moving a knob, the focus it's going to another knob that i'm not moving!
Last, when i'm going to modify the touch sensitivity into the hardware preferences of kore, i can't set a value different from 0 because as soon i release the mouse button the value from the set one, comes down to 0!

I'm using Kore 2.1.2 and the latest driver for kore1, the 2.4.18, both version downloaded from my NI updates page.
I've installed too Maschine, also this one with all the latest updates from NI, also for the mashine controller driver.
Then, as NI software i've installed the latest service center and the latest controller editor.
That's all. I don't know if it is an hardware problem or a Kore/Maschine software conflict problem.

I'm really disappointed as i've never used so much the kore1 controller.
