Sometimes with my updates - I will leave the Device manager window open (to see the updated drivers) This last time It uninstalled the old driver - rebooted - then loaded the new driver - I saw Kore 2 controller in the Sound, video and Game controllers section (all is fine) then it asks me to plug in the hardware and - BAM - the listing in the device manager window is GONE - then I get the Found new hardware window - with a failure to find the driver on normal search.

You're supposed to get the found new hardware wizard. Don't let it search for updated drivers and let it install the drivers automatically. There'll be two driver installs- one after the other, with there sometimes beng a gap until you start a program such as the controller editor that uses the driver.

    Kore 2 driver/installer

"Don't let it search for updated drivers and let it install the drivers automatically."

Yes I understand this - the problem is sometimes automatic fails, sometimes it works. It depends on how many times you want to do it over. The last time it failed to find the driver on automatic I did the browse function and set the focus on the entire hard drive and after a long long time it found the driver.

I am wondering if the default path (or naming convention of files in the installers) for the drivers is inconsistant over all of the software versions. Something after the version that is on the Kore 2 CD is problematic.

    Sympathies to the moderator

I must express sympathy, or at least empathy for the moderator. I sent in my Kore controller via customer support instructions months ago. I didn't hear anything for a few months, and suddenly I received a refurbished MASCHINE. I contacted support to let them know, and a week later I received a refurbished Kore Controller, which I think was hastily sent out. Of course, it doesn't work.

Now I sit, with a Kore controller that doesn't work and a MASCHINE I can't return even after several attempts. I will wait until Christmas is long past, and take up these issues again this spring.

So anyway, sympathies to the moderator who is trying his or her best, and without the support of company services.

...and to the customers...Good luck! :D

I have the same blackout issue. I have tried reinstalling the kore 2 software, uninstalling and reinstalling the controller driver as well as the controller editor - nothing seems to be working.
When I plug in the controller, it shows up in the device manager as Kore Controller 2 with a yellow exclamation mark. I click on it and it says the 'the drivers for this device are not insalled (code 28)
I tried allowing the computer (windows 7) to search by itself, and I have searched manually. No good.
I have the latest drivers from the NI website, but it doesn't seem to make a difference - still blackout screen.
