Having had a hard time to get my Kore2 Controller recognized by Windows10x64 current as of now. Just doesn't seem to work right, neither Midi Mode nor Kore mode.

    Anybody else got it working?

So it seems the EOL of Kore controller (and thus software) seems to be reached finally.

Very angry, I must say. Don't know how often it was being mentioned, the software mainly, and the controller integration both are still ahead of its time, no successor in sight after all these years.

    Angry

Haven't tried it on my El Capitan iMac yet and I don't have any Windows above XP. Are there programs that allow you to run virtual older Windows OS-es in Windows 10? For Mac there's Parallels and Fusion, I think they both allow plugging controllers straight into the virtual OS-es.

Most fun will be to have a dedicated Kore 2 computer that you use as an external instrument using VSL Ensemble Pro. Supported on OSX 10.8 and Windows 7.

    Got it working again.

The 3.0 driver install exe was somehow unable to uninstall a previous driver, for whatever reason I could not get past this error.

I ran the installer and examined the extracted files in %temp% and picked the inf, cat and says files, put them together in a folder and let windows search for a driver for the Kore Hardware. It worked. Boy am I glad ;)

On the one hand I am continually amazed by how resilient Kore has proven to all the changes in OSes over the years. NI built it well! On the other I am also frustrated by the fact that they abandoned what is still clearly the absolute state of the art in controllers and 'super' instruments. Despite several attempts, including their own highly flawed Kontrol, there is still nothing to touch it, or that even comes close. NI really need to be listening to us dedicated Kore users, we are dedicated for good reason.
